Apparently I was 100 percent wrong. Walburg wasn't allowed players from Meadow or North Battleford, and only from Saskatoon if they were Walburg minor hockey alum. But could pull from anywhere in Alberta. So some restrictions was right.

I would like to know if walburg actually took any sort of accountability in its actions. Every post I see or petition has been pointing fingers and blaming other teams for "breaking rules" first or blaming the league. I'm sure if the league had viable evidence it would do the same to any other team. It sounds like they have a board and presidents etc so its a fairly formal operation with representatives from each team and a formal voting process. Is it true another team was 1 vote away from also being voted out under suspicion of paying players as well? If walburg had admitted it instead of pointing fingers would there have been a different outcome in the appeal process? Instead they "lawyered" up and took the opposite approach and blamed everyone else.

Could they have admitted assuming they were? Yes. But then the league probably would have all high fived and said we knew all along and partied for a week. I really don’t think the league cares about anyone else paying, always seemed heavy handed towards eagles.

All teams know that. I believe there was a vote at the same time regarding two other teams accused of paying players in the SaskAlta and one team was one vote away from being suspended as well. The argument Walburg was singled out doesn’t hold any weight if that was the case.

The fact that 3 teams were all reportedly doing the same thing and only 1 of them gets voted out means they were singled out.l think anyways. Should have been across the board, anyone caught paying is gone.

Again…..It’s absurd to think no one is paying anything in this league. All these ex pro or CIS guys driving 1 hour plus and leaving work early or leaving their families just to play senior hockey for free? Would be losing money each weekend on gas and sticks and gear needed to play. The executive of this league think it’s 1960 still?

Having to buy your own sticks? Leaving your wife and kids on a Friday night to hang out with the boys without getting paid to do it? Unheard of.

Unheard of. The vast majority of all players on PHill, Lashburn, Walburg, & Wainright are not being paid. All of PHill, Lashburn, Walburg, & Wainright are paying atleast 1 player. 1 team has been removed for breaking the rule. 3 teams have not been removed for breaking the rule. So is it a rule or not? If the league won't take it's own rules seriously, how does it expect the teams to do so? Quote of the century regarding SASKALTA, old president didn’t bring this stuff up because he knew every team did it. Now the league just looks dumb, whether or not they get away with it. What happens next year when Billy finds out how much Bobby is making in hillmond? Scandal of the century lol

Wainright and meadow lake are all locals due to league restrictions. No one on those teams are getting paid. P Hill & Lashburn apparently were voted on too. league executive just cant go around kicking teams out. the teams voted.

When teams in other leagues get caught with ineligible players on their roster (paid players are ineligible to play in the SaskAlta), the league forfeits those games for the offending teams and fines them. Are you suggesting the SaskAlta league exec cannot do the same? unsure, would have to ask them.

Is it true that St. Walburg went ahead with their lawyer plan and have sent a “cease and desist” to the Monday Nooner??? If true way to ruin the fun for the rest of us. All over senior hockey and imports. Completely bizarre and stupid.

All over senior hockey and imports. Completely bizarre and stupid. Pretty sure in the nooners latest episode they said no actual legal action has been taken. I highly highly doubt Walburg actually takes any legitimate legal action against them, that would be an incredible waste of time and money for everyone involved.
