Lumsdens roster is quite good, wow. Not sure how they are managing to ice a roster that might be even better than what they had for provincials in league play.

Those 5 teams counting grenfell should split off and create a new league or join the pmhl. Then modify the import rules a bit then you have almost a 10 team competitive senoir hockey like it’s used to be. Then balcrres lumsden and raymore can take their 2500-5000 a game payrolls somewhere else. 4 teams against 3. Big things may chnage for the better your acting like Grenfell and balgonie didn’t run the league for like 6-7 years straight while Balcarres was terrible, same with Odessa. Once teams become bad people just start complaining about money. |

The teams compared to 5-10 years ago are not even close. Those Balgonie teams were stacked with elite players that were listed as local / imports. They got a whole lot more of a talent pool to choose from as far a locals go than a place like Southey…. They went like 30-6 in 2 years and had, Harry Ruopp , Heraufs, Jens Johnson, Tyler Henry, Jens Johnson, Grimm , Giebel, Milligan, James Pillar, Jesse Ross, Cheddar Murray.. That roster is no different and they were dominant, they just had a way bigger talent pool locally then any other team can get and Balgonie having kids grow up in PB, WC and BG was the only team that was offered that luxury. |

Holy shit I’m thinking father back of Balgonies, actual glory days with lance and istaace and wistzel and that crew that won 5 in a row or whatever. Those days you are talking about grenfell and balgonie did run it, milestone dabbled. But those were the most dull days of the Q. Pretty sure it was a 6 man league. But those LOCAL cores lead those teams. Most of those core players were actually from those towns.
