2024/25 Season Standings Predictions

You said it behind that defence. He has 3 pros protecting him on the back end (mueller) (trapp) (Albers). When you watch balcrarres and Lumsden play you will see the difference. Last year when balgonie almost beat Carlyle with 10 guys in provs, that’s when he really got showcased. Everyone and their mom wanted him on their prov squad .Don’t even wanna know how much money lumsden threw at him tho

All we are waiting on for the QV is Lumsden. Rest of the rosters are up and legal. Gonna be an exciting year! Balcarres is def the front runner

Interesting you think this way. Looking at the rosters and I thought this was the most disparity in the league in a while. To me Balcarres and Lumsden are on a tier of their own. Then Raymore is kind of making up that second tier by themselves. They have some good talent but not the depth of Balcarres and Lumsden.
Then the rest are kind of in a group.
Sure there will probably be a Saturday in December that Bethune beats Balcarres or Southey beats Lumsden and people on here are going to freak out and say the other team is overrated but I think we all know at the end of the day it will come down to those two teams in the end.

Well, I thought you would never ask! There has been 6 pages of replies before someone had the courtesy to ask for my updated opinion. So I thank you for that! I see my knowledge may not be fully recognized or appreciated yet here on Wicked Deadly™©®. Obviously I had forseen the falling of Grenfell before everyone, but could not spill the beans in the middle of the summer. I like to play games with my fellow Wicked Deadly™©® Members ... and on occasion, play games with my own member!. Lets cut to the chase, here are my now updated predictions!



T1st: Lumsden Monarchs:



Look at the original post for my reason. I just do not see any possible future timelines of the reigning champions not finishing first or second.





T1st: Balcarres Broncs:



After the addition of longtime Bethune captain and former D Man of the year Russ Neilson, this team HAS to have gotten a little bit better. Oh, and Mickoski in the picture for the Broncs, it will basically be Balcarres vs Lumsden for the top spots. I just get all fired up knowing that a horse whispered the departure of Neilson to me in the middle of summer, and I can finally speak about it!





3rd: Raymore Rockets:



I really do not know how this team could finish anywhere but 3rd place. They are certainly better on paper than the other teams, but would I bank on them beating Lumsden or Balcarres more than once? Probably not. I actually recently got my Commercial Space Transportation License. While I was flying among the stars, I basically saw a huge bronze medal refracting off the town of Raymore. (I also have really good eyesight by the way)





4th: Milestone Flyers:



I wish I could say I was intrigued by this team, but I am not. They are not gonna be as good as last year. Why? Because I said so. Originally thought Bethune would snatch the 4th place spot.. but. Not anymore.





5th: Bethune Bulldogs:



This team in all honestly is on the incline. They obviously lost their longtime Captain, but this team is young and getting better every year. Dark horse team? No. Potentially a top 3 team next year / for a few seasons straight? Absolutely.





6th: Balgonie Bison:



As you all recall from my original post, I have seen the Bison players working out all off season. I threw a coin in a well (it was actually a 100 dollar bill because I have motion like that) and within the well, saw the bison weightroom. It was right full, the players were going hard. They will be better than last.





7th: Grenfell's now defunct team / Some of the Junior C Teams from the QVJHL





8th: Southey Marlins:



Ay yi yi. This team is not going to be good. Likely a last place finish for the Marlins. I would not be shocked if this team is in the PMHL next season. It is quite sad, but that is just the reality of the Marlins. But yes, potential last minute pickups have just hit my airwaves. Ill add this: maybe they will finish 2nd last instead.





Endnote: This is going to be another fun year in the QVHHL. I just wish all teams, players, and staff a great season. I would also like to thank you Wicked Deadly Members for always giving me something to read instead of doing my job (fortune telling, palm reading, vision seeking, and tarot card reading). Those 5 teams counting grenfell should split off and create a new league or join the pmhl. Then modify the import rules a bit then you have almost a 10 team competitive senoir hockey like it’s used to be. Then balcrres lumsden and raymore can take their 2500-5000 a game payrolls somewhere else. 4 teams against 3. Big things may chnage for the better

Why would teams that can’t even full import spots or don’t have the players that have connections getting shit kicked by the big 3 teams, every year it’s getting worse l. Just watch, the money is getting out of hand and the dam will eventually break. Look at grenfell , recruiting is minimal when you have aging stars and no locals. Balgonie amd Southey really fall under that category as well and grenfell just folded so you gonna a 4-5 league. Ya right
