12 Skaters? Hope they have more than that....Good Luck oh you hear the same story every year... no players no players... they will be fine No doubt, every year all those guys in Drake whine and whine. Cam Blair will be able to ice a team quite easily, and a competitive one at that. |

It’s a shame Lanigan has let it happen this way, they had a good selection of Local players that experienced decent hockey. Had arguably one of the best local goaltenders since Brenner and they let him walk away. Used to be a fun team to be around, very square group of guys now. Hopefully the new generation of kids can revive senior hockey In Lanigan. Might be time for the 20 year vet to pass the torch.

It’s a shame Lanigan has let it happen this way, they had a good selection of Local players that experienced decent hockey. Had arguably one of the best local goaltenders since Brenner and they let him walk away. Used to be a fun team to be around, very square group of guys now. Might be time for the 20 year vet to pass the torch. care to elaborate, are you saying that Shields is not coming back? have a hard time believing that. |

The best hockey player in town runs the Liquor store. The old boys could come back to play and beat the current generation. It's not a knock on anyone, this group just didn't play elite hockey. A ton of local guys in the area who want to play hockey, look at the Jansen Jets. It'll come back eventually, every thing is a cycle. Good on the town/volunteers to keep the team going in the down times. |

I’m back! Lanigan had some decent locals who could actually play but never were given the opportunity. Pirates will have not much locals left except maybe the coaches son. What Lanigan’s loss is Jansens gain. The better locals went to Jansen by the way. Pirates just got the scraps left. Unfortunately the Barn will most likely be empty as everyone will be driving to nokomis to watch hockey. Ky Olafson from lanigan is an alright player playing in the SJ. But I can bet money that he’ll be playing in Jansen over Lanigan when he is done junior. |

Assuming the local goalie being referred to is Stenson. He is a local who decided to hang up the blades. Could have had a long successful career. Pirates had the Sherbans, believe one played Junior A.
Likely not going to get any better in Lanigan if this is Harmworth and Shields last season. Going to be another couple years of rebuilding. Doesn’t seem to be any die hard senior players in Lanigan that will be able to take over and recruit talent.
Hopefully Olafson can come back and bring some friends, All though he will likely have a chance of NCAA hockey after the SJ.

Saskhockey7 why did Daelick leave? He’s the best local player to be on the team in years, has family roots in the team. You would have thought he would run that team. He’s a solid guy and you would assume people would respect him. Why can’t Lanigan keep imports? Is there a bad apple in the room?

Roy not coming back, Andrew Johnson retiring, and heard no Stumborg either. Those are some big pieces gone! |
