Trying to get back in this league? Why would a team who can compete in the sask west want to try and get back into this glorified rec league. The first video of the line brawl this year was fun, this latest one in the box is embarrassing. It's unfortunate this league gets this much attention here and online when there's actual talent worth going out to watch in others across the province. Why do you think edam and hafford left? They had good teams before but Look at them now. That’s the kinda hockey people want to watch. Nit this crap that seems to happen on a weekly basis Yeah look at how well that’s working for Hafford, join the stronger league, bring in guys so they can stay competitive. Average 24 fans a game and get 28 fans at a playoff game and get swept first round. That’s good for the community. They’ll be trying to get back in this league eventually. Edam will be strong in that league for a while but will always need to bring in a few and cut some locals to stay competitive imo. Edam left because they would have to cut more local junior players to fit under the SP rules than they would house league players in any other league to stay competitive, hafford also had atleast 4 local juniors when they left. leagues and teams will always bounce around and the SP is just a nice keep your team alive league for the towns in the area going through generational gaps. I also don’t understand why battleford isn’t in the saskwest, but if they wanna goon up the SP let ‘em. |

How does Shankeruk get a game for being jumped and pulled out of the penalty box? If the refs were doing their jobs and got in the box Soanes would not have to in there same as Hawtin. I heard the cops are looking at the video so #20 could be getting some bracelets. He’s done in this league! |

I don’t know anyone but yeah how did the white jersey player get in the box to feed that guy? And you can’t blame his team for helping or him leaving. Also is that an off ice official that gets grabbed in the box again by the white team?
Is Kenton Albert the guy who jumped in the box and fed Shynkuruk? And the blue goalie got 11 games for that? Or is there more we don’t see?

Or is there more we don’t see? Blue goalie got nothing, turtleford goalie got 11 for his brawl early Jan. Shynkaruk got 1 for after he was pulled out of the box started swinging back I guess. And yes 20 white is Kenton Albert. And in Battleford rink there is nothing separating the players inthe penalty box besides the 2 workers. I'm thinking now they'll put a door in.. |

White jersey is Kenton Albert, he was in there from two stoppages previous after shynkaruk gave him a bit of a hit and some choice words I assume in maymonts end, albert didn't like that and followed shynkaruk back to battlefords end wanting to fight by the looks of it, nothing happened and they both took minors. After that a fight happens which lead to a faceoff in maymonts end. Right after the puck drop Albert crosses from their side of the penalty box over to shynkaruk and then thats where we see the video that is going around. The skaters on the ice including battlefords goalie rushed to box after everyone was yelling as people picked up on what was going on. This is just what I saw from just watching the vod. |

Thanks for the details and clarification. I’ve been in other rinks where the boxes are basically joined but not many with this much room. I wondered how he got through the door but that makes way more sense.
Pretty hard to fault a guy for defending himself, even if he left the box, I mean he just got pummeled for 30 seconds with a guy on his back.

Who the f designed those penalty boxes? Are there no dividers at all? This isn't the 1930's. At the very least throw some plywood between the boxes.

I don t know why guys come on here and try and belittle the league for not being good enough. Have you even done any research as to why this league was created? And if it's not "good enough" then take your pony show somewhere else. Not one team here is begging for your attendance, go watch your "better" hockey and shut your mouth . And maybe take your opinions to the league forum that you so desperately want to watch. in plug prob has never had a pair of skates on I his life lol.
