I read that Maidstone is back in the Sask Alta. Haven’t heard of any other teams in or out for the sask prairie

Predictions for this year. I have no idea who will be new or returning players for each team. Heard Battelford lost their top guys and thats about it.

Maidstone's roster should be cut in half after the first game due to suspensions. Who let them clowns in this rec league.

League fires up this weekend. Lets see some predictions. Rosters aren't updated yet but I'd be surprised it doesn't go as follows:
Swood @ Meota - Meota by a touchdown
Maymont @ Battleford - Battleford by a touchdown
Swood @ Maidstone - No idea what Maidstone will look like but ill take them in this one as well.

Predicting that there won't even be a battle for last place this year. I'm confident spiritwoods got that one in the bag already considering they lost a couple key guys this year.

Word is that meota was begging to play Spiritwood first game of the year becasue they knew that the caffet boys would still be suspended. |

Meota Roster and Spiritwood rosters are posted, Meota seems to have picked up a lot of good talent including Glaslyns top line and 2 or 3 Jr b players. Lost a few key pieces as well, but should be a top team in the league this year.

David must have got it going last night. Subscription runs out every year around this time. So far only have the 2 rosters posted, hopefully by at least tomorrow I will get the other 2 teams that play this weekend.

Glaslyn guys going to Meota are average at best.. They literally all finished top 5 in points the last season, and the 2 other guys who finished in the top 5 aren't playing in this league this season. I'd say they are pretty decent. Also Battleford roster posted now as well. |

Not sure anyone will touch meota this year if they can get decent goaltending. Can see them winning a lot of high scoring games but also giving up their fair share of goals against.
Battleford is going to miss their top guys this year, lots of new faces on the team, should still finish middle-top of the pack.
Didn’t think it was possible for Spiritwood to be worse then usual, but they seem to have some how done it.
Haven’t heard of any other major pick ups for any other teams so can’t see too many surprises coming but only time will tell. Can’t wait for the season to get rolling to see some more rosters
