The young local tendy shuts out the Monarchs! 5-0. I think any goalie would love to be playing for Wadena right now with how they play defensively. Gonna be a tough climb for Wynyard. Don’t get me wrong, they are a good team with some high end skill, which showed in the regular season, but they don’t seem to have the grit it needs to grind out playoff wins. Their powerplay is absolutely atrocious too. 0-6 maybe? With a 5 on 3 in there and a 4 minute powerplay too. I can’t say I seen one player in Wynyard really stand out for me tonight, goalie played okay, but an all around soft game by them. |

I believe wynyard had two 5 on 3’s and a 4 min PP. and only 16 shots through the whole game if thats accurate?

Lack of firepower upfront finally shining through for the monarchs. Shut out in senior hockey is a tough look. Especially as the "#1" seed...

For all those who said Wadena wouldn’t compete in this league, just curious, are they competing yet? Who said they couldn’t compete? There were repeated comments along the lines of Wadena waiting and seeing what it was like playing in a real league, etc etc etc. |
