Taken from twin rivers constitution The furthest distance between any two teams will be 180 drivable kilometers. 100% membership agreement is required to change the league radius With birch hills and shellbrook in league can’t see hanley getting in Allan to shellbrook is 203km so who knows with Hanley Hanley to Shellbrook is 204km. Hanley to Birch Hills is 201km.

oh? Do tell. Don’t they have 1 import spot open (Kozun, Hobbins, McDermott, Purves). And Kozun just got the HC and GM job in Nipawin which doesn’t leave a lot of times. Locals would mean a player from Wadena, Quill Lake or Kelvington coming to play that isn’t an import. Who is left from those towns playing somewhere? Connor Odelein comes to mind. Both leagues allow 5 imports don’t they? I think Wadena would do very well in the LLHL if they have a similar team and in my opinion they would have likely beat most everyone in that league this year anyway..... Long Lake is 4 imports. Wadena with this years team would be on the bottom half of the Long Lake

Wadena with this years team would be on the bottom half of the Long Lake I disagree, I think they would hold their own against the top teams. And could be a top team in the league. The long lake needs another team regardless. I know this team isn’t in wheatland but I think it’s time Warman steps up. They should be in a better league, so much potential there. So Wadena, craik, Hanley, or even Warman. Why not give the long lake a try

Why not give the long lake a try Rumour is Warman is moving the team to beardys, they couldlnt even get ice during playoffs. They played the entire first round in Waldheim and round 2 out of beardys

Wadena with this years team would be on the bottom half of the Long Lake I agree. Wadena had the worst goalies in the league and some of those Long Lake teams wouldn’t need many opportunities to light the lamp. They would be much more competitive with a solid goalie.

I’d be surprised if Naicam has a team next year. If Wadena leaves that doesn’t leave Kinistino, Tisdale and Porcupine Plain in a very good position. What intel do you have to start this rumour? Or is it just keyboard warrior talk to stir up crap? Team wasn’t good but are 90% local so no reason they wouldn’t be back.

I can’t be surprised that a team that played the last half of the season with around 10 skaters (which I gave my appreciation for on the forum) would surprise me to have a team next year? What does my surprise have anything to do with intel, rumours or stirring up crap? Take a seat.

Stats check shows only 2 games all season with less than 10. Craik, PP & Hanley all played games with small benches too....they all pulling the pin? Based on your new word "surprise" would it be a surprise if they have teams next year too? Move back to the front of the bus...would give you a better perspective so your not "surprised" all the time.

I’m well aware of all teams and their perceived or real issues. Fact of the matter is Naicam is in trouble whether you care to admit or not.

I hear something is in the works in the NE for a new league. Resurrecting the Pasquai or Fishing lake league with similar rules as the twin rivers.

What are the league rules in the Twin Rivers that would have to be met? From what I've heard the only thing the new league would adopt is 4 elite players per team and no population restrictions.

This is all fine in theory but the Twin River's Elite rule states that a player who plays 31 games of junior A or better is considered Elite. Several teams in the Wheatland would need to drop a good portion of their roster to enter this new league. Have any of you watched TRHL games? It's similar to watching paint dry....

Based on that and a quick perusal of Wadena's roster would indicate the following players are considered elite: Statchuk Hobbins Leach S Scheschuk C Scheschuk D Hope B Hope B Melrose Walker Kozun Purves McDermott S Odelein
So I'd imagine that would be a non starter in discussions with Wadena.
