Well, the team everyone loved to hate did it! Undefeated in the season. Undefeated in the playoffs. My hat is off to them! They built a team to win regardless of your thoughts. Congratulations to the Kings of the North! It was a well fought battle in all three games by Kinistino. We will see if this is the end of Wadena in the Wheatland. My guess is that they won't be back. But what do I know....

Congrats to Wadena. A good series between the 2 best teams in this league in my opinion.

And Kozun just got the HC and GM job in Nipawin which doesn’t leave a lot of times. Locals would mean a player from Wadena, Quill Lake or Kelvington coming to play that isn’t an import. Who is left from those towns playing somewhere? Connor Odelein comes to mind. Both leagues allow 5 imports don’t they?

I think Wadena would do very well in the LLHL if they have a similar team and in my opinion they would have likely beat most everyone in that league this year anyway.....

How long before craik and Hanley apply to other leagues? Heard hanley is trying to get into the twin rivers league already. Not sure where craik would go, they have players out of both regina and stoon so maybe llhl too?

Can’t see Hanley getting into twin rivers with shellbrook and birch hills being further up north. Hanley I can see them getting into Twin Rivers, their arena would not be a stumbling block like Dundurn's was. LLHL would be a logical destination for Craik but they would need to add some players full time to compete...their provincial lineup would definitely compete. I thought Craik played in the Notekeu years ago, would that be a fit? Distances wouldn't be an issue being Wheatland has turned into a far flung league.

Teams just need to stay put for awhile IMO. Your team isn’t always going to be a ‘Waygon.’ If you are successful year after year, sure, go to a stronger league but it just doesn’t make sense to do it after one year. Bruno dominating the old Wheatland for years comes to mind. They eventually went to the Fort Carlton and competed there.

I’d be surprised if Naicam has a team next year. If Wadena leaves that doesn’t leave Kinistino, Tisdale and Porcupine Plain in a very good position.

I thought Craik played in the Notekeu years ago, would that be a fit? Distances wouldn't be an issue being Wheatland has turned into a far flung league. Taken from twin rivers constitution The furthest distance between any two teams will be 180 drivable kilometers. 100% membership agreement is required to change the league radius With birch hills and shellbrook in league can’t see hanley getting in Allan to shellbrook is 203km so who knows with Hanley
