No scoring in OT. Shots leaning towards Southey now. They were getting heavily out shot the first 2 periods.

Drake is a good team. Southey figured out how to play hockey and gave them a good run. I think it goes to show how deep the QVHHL is. Ultimately I think the better team came out on top.

This series sure showed why the game is played on the ice and not on the internet. Keyboard warriors had the series over before it started. Looking at the rosters of almost all senior teams, at least 75% of your players have played junior or a higher level of hockey. Hockey fans who don't watch Saskatchewan senior hockey are really missing out!

Hockey fans who don't watch Saskatchewan senior hockey are really missing out! There are some whole leagues that would struggle to meet the 25% Junior players you refer to. At least not Jr A or higher. There are some other ones that do fit the bill. Have a look at the rosters of the SPHL and TRHL teams. Then look at Ituna, Naicam, Porcupine Plain, Wawota, Unity, Frontier and heck Coronach just lost in the White Mud finals with 0 players who played Jr A.

But yes I agree Senior is entertaining hockey and doesn't get the credit it deserves. Prov games like the ones Sunday were well worth the low price of admission.

Would be quite a feat for Coronach to lose in the White Mud final when they play in the Notekeu Hockey League.
