Those guys know all those guys so speak highly of them and, as such, their league. That being said they also speak highly of Kenaston. Drake, Foam Lake and Wadena. That being said putting 2 of the 4 or 5 top leagues in the province together does sorta make it a “super league”. If Davidson, Foam Lake and Drake hoist banners they can have the “last laugh” Super league more so because every team with exception to Bethune is very strong. The other leagues seem to have a top and a bottom tier of teams. Drake deserves the credit. They are likely top team in the prov right now but if we go league vs league I would take the super league every time.

You take Watrous (at least this year) out of the Long Lake and they make the same case as you.

Drake would be a top team in the qvhhl, foam lake and Davidson would be very comparable to the rest of the teams minus buthune. Watrous, Wynyard, and Lanigan wouldn't beat any of the top 5 teams in the qvhhl. Sorry guys.

They highway teams aren’t good to begin with.

People on this forum need to relax when it comes to the Monday nooner. Why not just appreciate the fact that there’s a fun podcasts that talks about Saskatchewan sr hockey instead of being critical that they don’t make it their full time job driving to every single game in Saskatchewan and have 100% accurate top 10s and takes. They do a pretty good job with trying to include teams from every league and that can’t be easy considering my slo motion team could be competitive in some leagues

Maybe there needs to be a interlocking season?

Teams can barely get 15-20 league games in now . Pretty sure interlocking isn't going to happen.

Teams can barely get 15-20 league games in now . Pretty sure interlocking isn't going to happen. Yeah it will likely only happen if the Long Lake loses a couple more teams. But then they likely combine into other leagues that are closer anyway. While the import rules are different the only measuring stick we will have is provincials. The only other thing even remotely close was the Early November pre-season tournament Watrous used to put on. You would think players would just coast but that wasn’t the case. But what’s that been? 20 years? Maybe someone should host one, problem is getting enough elite teams willing to commit.

They played 1 game against each team in opposite leagues then a home and away vs teams in their natural league. Both leagues had different import rules. They could make it happen if they wanted to, but it likely won’t happen. Instead everyone will keep bickering back and forth on here saying which league is the Super League.

It’s a joke that some people can’t seem to understand. The QVHL and HHL in previous years, when they were separate leagues, have always been very good senior hockey leagues. Probably both top 5 in province. So thus having a combined league called a “Super League” as a joke is funny except to a couple people on this forum who take it way too personally.

It’s pretty burnt out to me how much you guys actually care about which league is better. They’re both good leagues ffs

Best leagues because of relaxed import rules**, In reality they're both quite unhealthy right now with teams dropping like flies over the past few years and more following closely behind. Long Lake had to resort to a joint schedule with the FCHL which no longer exists and the "super league" is 2 leagues combined for a whopping 7 teams. Give me the SWHL and SVHL all day.

I was also thinking of qvhhl playing 12 games within their own leauge then playing playing 1 vs long lake just to get more variety and yes maybe a few bragging rights. However, think of a any llhl team playing in grenfell or milestone or any other team really than Southey buthune or lumsden. Most guys come out of stoon I assume in the llhl. Grenfell to stoon is almost 4 hours. Great idea I think tho.

You're not wrong. Those leagues are always consistent with the same teams. Leagues like the Q have their ups and downs year after year. Eventually money gets tight and teams struggle. Then in a few years the money starts flowing again and a team comes back. Its just not sustainable. Some people prefer a more local feel to senior hockey and some prefer the best product on the ice.
