Wilkie was the better team, kindersley had the better goalie. Same can be said for this series. |

Not the case. Wilkie was the better team, kindersley had the better goalie. Same can be said for this series. I’m talking about this series. Could care less about Wilkie and Kindersley. But the banner hanging in Kindos rink in 20 years will show they were the better team. Goaltending was good for Macklin, but so was team defense and timely scoring. The goalie did not win this series by himself. |

The goalie is just as much a part of the team as anyone else. If you have a stud goalie and the team wins, then tough to argue they're not the better team.

Macklin D (Kunz and Hillis too) and goalie were very good, but can't pretend Macklins top line wasn't right up there with Redvers. Especially once Houcher was out- great player but a bit slow for top line in provincial final

Macklin had all-star goal tending and you better up his wages.
Redvers had better players but the best team wins and don’t forget the power of team it wins games and battles.
Congrats to Macklin and Redvers who would have been competitive in the A division.

Keep in mind Redvers added Howie, Regel, Hope- all big pieces. Macklin added Buckingham, Gibson, Bensch- Buckingham only decent player
Think league teams would be just as good series but Redvers added lot more
