Should be a heck of a D final. Looking at Rocanville schedule for their league playoffs I don’t think the three Rocanville pick ups will be available for game 1 in macklin.

Rockets will definitely miss those 3 in game 1, but they have a very good team even without those 3 guys. Should be awesome hockey.

I see that only games 1 and 2 are scheduled for the Sask East. Thinking games 3 and 4 will be March 30th and March 31. I can not see either team wanting to play weekday games when they do not need to. Thinking both want to maximize the weekend crowds. It cost money to pay Toe Drag Thompson. Not sure if teams will want to play on Good Friday.

Heard some Redvers boys are not happy that they will be without their pickups in game 1. I’m sure they have ice open during the week in Macklin this time of the year. Was there a problem driving there during the week for a game for these pick ups? I’m assuming work would be the biggest factor. It’s a 7 hour drive from Redvers to Macklin. Probably close to the same from Rocanville to Macklin. |

No date for game 5 yet Yep, looks like the Tigers and Cobras are doing their best to accommodate the Rockets, but when every small town in the province is on this heavy of a time crunch, there's only so much you can do. I have a hard time believing Howie, Hope, amd Regel would elect to play for the Rockets over their league team in the final, but stranger things have happened. |
