Poor crowd. 8:30 Sunday start and the Brier final on at the same time. Surprised it was this low scoring.

The ice looked bad last night, puck was bouncing all over the place. Neither team had much luck connecting on passes.

From what I saw last night and throughout these provincials Kenaston is no sure bet to play a great game on Saturday. Certainly not dominating teams other than Game 3 against Kindersley.

I thought it was as an ugly game to watch. I guess it could be the ice, but overall the game was sloppy. I was not impressed with either team tbh.

No favourites: Watrous has the best D pairing and Sam Klassen is unreal to watch control the play and how he sees the game. Andrew Johnston on Watrous was the best forward on the ice could carry puck from end to end against a very deep and solid Kenaston team. Dmyterko kept Watrous in the game at 2-1 making some huge saves. Kenaston gave Watrous nothing in the slot. Kenaston had better scoring opportunities and deserved the win. Was a fast game and great hockey to watch no bullshit after the whistle. Too bad the rink wasn’t packed for a semi final round of provincial A.

While the crowd could have been better, I thought it was pretty good given the reasons you mentioned above. Since watrous has quite a bit of seating on both sides of the ice surface, it makes it feel like there are less people there. I was also surprised it was a low scoring game, given that the defence would be considered the “weak spot” for both teams.

Just saying. ya the Round Lake effect had nothing to do with it hey? lol. 6:30 vs. 8:30 on a sunday, and Round Lake bringing multiple fan buses everywhere they go.... not really apples to apples.

Obviously both team are very good but the game wasn't.

Obviously both team are very good but the game wasn't. That’s what happens with fast teams who know how to play the game at a high level. Right spot at the right time, solid positionally, time and space disappears, close checking. Every puck is contested. A chess match. No bush league BS after the whistle either. If you know what you are looking at you appreciate it more. It’s not adult safe or beer league. These guys can play.

Trust me, I’ve been to probably 100 nhl games in my life and seen plenty of elite hockey games. I know what a good game looks like. Don’t go trying to over sale yourself and your knowledge of hockey. You sound like a dick.
