If Boschman is getting 500, then I don’t wanna know what Fiddler is getting. Has to be well over 1000 a game

Honest Q, ive long wondered where these teams are getting all this money from. Hear rumors of guys writing checks for 10s of thousands of $$ for teams like Carlyle and moosomin and Balcarres.
Where does teams like RL get the money to fly guys in on a private plane? Or Lumsden paying what has to be close to $4000 per game.
That’s one arguement vs this all star team entering provincials, is I’ve always thought these teams rely on the big crowds come provincial time to help pay for the year. No way it can pay for this kind of payroll though.
Any actual comments or just speculation chirps?

How about a college football style playoff for league teams that don’t enter provincials. Christmas entry deadline and 4 teams get voted in. Obviously favours some leagues but could be a good way to get a few more competitive games

No way it can pay for this kind of payroll though. Any actual comments or just speculation chirps? Round lake have been in tournaments over the years. These tournaments are crazy amount for first place usually $20,000. They have been entering and winning or placing in these tournaments for numerous years. Example last year I looked back on which torment they entered and placed, I added it up and the total was $98,000. So they have built up their pot through out the years. I know this team wasn’t built this year, they have been around 6 years. It took some time (years) for them to make money but this year they wanted to make a run. I have never seen another team make a bigger impact on sr hockey since Ryan Smyth playing on a team in the Allan cup many years ago. But returning back to these tournaments I wouldn’t mind seen an open tournament in the future like these native $30,000 first place tournaments. Allowing say Carlyle, balcarres, rostern, Kyle, which ever to enter in. I believe that tournament well bigger than ever and money to be made by the organization that put it on, may need the Brandt Center or Sask place to host. Hopefully that’ll happen in our time, I know I’ll drive and get rooms spend money for an event like that. I know I would put a few hundred on a team in the betting corner.
