Carlyle vs Round Lake

Felt that it was a great game to watch. Refs let a lot go, RL did have a few dirty sticking infractions that went uncalled. Gabrielle did a great job of playing the villian role tonight getting in the heads of the RL and their "goons". Starting off the warm ups stretching at center ice was a vodl move, but worked in his favor as it drew in Boschman, and Mirasty. Mirasty had a dirty spear, but from then on it seemed that RL was focused on Gabrielle. He responded by playing hard nosed hockey and burying 3 goals (I think). RL took period 1 out playing Carlyle. Carlyle goalie had some great saves that kept the Cougars in it early. Carlyle came out in the second and took it to them. The Goons came on and coughed up a goal to the top line. Why RL coach plays and signed them is beyond me... but the penalties that were called Carlye capitalized. Lacquette #2 had a dirty swinging stick incident that went uncalled against Gabrielle. #2 later was scared to get hit in the corner and coughed up a goal. All of Carlyles lines were rolling and did a good job of not backing down, nor getting caught up in any of RLs antics. RL D seemed as though they were looking for the big hit rather than play which led to s lot of odd man rushes. King, Fiddler and Daychief were the standouts for RL. Other than thecothers were non factors. Gabrielle and Carlye goalie get the game stars. 50/50 was still unclaimed when the game ended.
