Shellbrooke is the 5 or 6th best team in the TRHL. They'd compete, i guess in the wheatland or SPHL. But they ain't winning shit. But they have the community backing them again and i have no doubt they will be better next year. there are multiple teams in the league that couldn’t compete in any other league in the province I’d say shellbrook was a 4th place team this year , I don’t think any one out of the east is better then then I think top 4 in the west are top 4

And that was without the 2 st. Walburg pickups. But Im not sure if shellbrooke picked anyone up during the season.

It is so discouraging to see a forum header like this and to PRETEND that bias, discrimination, and racism aren't part of why people feel the need to hate on Willow Chiefs. You will say it's because they say this or that on the ice, the fans say this or that, so if you feel the need to acknowledge that part and this team have endured with on-going colonialism? What about these players and their families facing and enduring racist comments throughout their whole careers? Have you thought of that? Have you thought that at a systematic level, mainstream society systematically has biases against Indigenous people, whether you recognize it or not? No, most likely, you have not. Imagine whatever situation that makes you feel defensive for 1 minute, and then imagine most Indigenous people, in this case players/fan feel that 24/7 just by the world we live in. I'm not condoning poor behavior from players, fans, or you keyboard pansies, you are not warriors, you do not know or understand what a warrior is. So be kind, grow up, and be mindful that Indigenous players and family are not playing on an equal playing field, and if you're ignorant and have no awareness...I hope you get what you deserve.

I was waiting for someone to post such tripe...you managed to get them buzzwords in: -colonialism -ensuring racist comments -discrimination -systematic level, mainstream society systematically has biases against Indigenous people -whatever situation that makes you feel defensive for 1 minute, and then imagine most Indigenous people, in this case players/fan feel that 24/7 just by the world we live in -mindful that Indigenous players and family are not playing on an equal playing field, and if you're ignorant and have no awareness...I hope you get what you deserve Yet again you show your hand by never taking any responsibility for your actions with this gem "I'm not condoning poor behavior from players, fans, or you keyboard pansies, you are not warriors, you do not know or understand what a warrior is". So how about some ideas to solve this alleged problem? Or you can save us the trouble and just admit what this is really all about...another sad attempt to shakedown and guilt the "colonialist" while absolving yourselves of any responsibility for your actions when your shitty behaviour is called out.

This has ZERO to do with race. Go to any other league discussion and scroll a bit. There’s ATLEAST 1 or 2 posts like this about teams in that perspective league. Native teams? Absolutely not, Kindersley, North battleford, Wilkie. ALL top teams in their respective leagues. Are they good hockey teams?100%. Do they have a few apples on each squad and a couple fans that travel that gives them a bad rap abso-en-lutley. Do I think it warrants banishment from perspective leagues? No. It does need to be monitored more. I was in Beardy’s tonight for rostherns 7-4 win as a mutual bystandered and the atmosphere was great. The guys standing in the corner by the DJ we’re they agitating? Yes but that’s play off hockey. But to say this is racism and all that bull is absolute crap.

I’ve deleted racist items from some posts in the Round Lake discussions but I don’t recall any here. That being said I think that a couple points were made, and counter points, and right or wrong in my opinion this topic should be put to bed. So I’m locking the thread.
