Thought Craik was fine this year, this screams of Loreburn just being salty. Loreburn had almost 100 more Pims and multiple suspensions so is this a case of the pot calling the kettle black?

Craik needs to solve the issue a the player’s exit off the ice. I don’t think the on ice play was any issue at all. What happened Friday was ugly and could have escalated to a scary place. The Craik players need to allow the visiting team to get off the ice before they head off, and there’s no reason for teams to wade through fans yelling at them to get to their room. Put a movable partition in there and give the teams exiting some space. I know the players need to show restraint and just walk past, but that’s easy to say. Harder to do.

Loreburn unfortunately had several players taking "mind-numbing" temper tantrums.
Sad to watch.
No matter what, PLAYERS cannot and should not EVER attack fans, even LESS SO with a STICK. There could be criminal charges involved, and lifetime SHA sanctions for player/fan interactions of this type.
Gotta leave it all on the ice, no matter who plays or where it's played. NEITHER TEAM NEEDS ANY BANS.

We played in craik for years. Grow up and learn to skate away from the fans. That’s craik advantage. It’s senior hockey. From what it looks like from the videos the loreburn player goes over and sticks the air horn guy. Lucky there isn’t charges being laid. Completely childish behaviour. Bristow should be absolutely embarrassed. Embarrased his family, his team and his town. Go flames. |

Yes I’m a part time fan of the Warriors but I’ve seen them play a half dozen times this year in 4 different rinks, and with the exception of the loreburn game in Craik where 2 loreburn players got suspended, almost all the other games have gone relatively smoothly. Loreburn is still mad about a high stick in a game, while trying to pretend they’ve never ever accidentally hishticked or slashed anybody else ever. A 3 suspension was handed out and deserved and served so move on with it already. Craik put forth a competitive team and have considerably have less pims than most and have certainly less suspensions than a few others. Craik has an old rink and few players that can get under your skin. Not enough reason to get banned.
And as far as Craik needing to getting visitors players off the ice without fan interference ( in which this case the player assaulted the fan) I want to know how many rinks have a direct corridor from the bench to there rooms . Even Davidson has a 5ft space where an idiot visiting hockey player can still swing a stick at an annoying fans if he wants.

Just wondering does craik have their glass in. I thought the last two leagues they've been in made that a stipulation for them to stay in the league. I've played and coached against in this barn and where the players leave the ice there really isn't a reason for fans to be there. If there was glass it would rectify 80% of the problem.

What is the reason why Craik should not be voted back in the league next year? Are we saying its because of the rink, or because of the team? Any one get hurt in Craik this year that I'm not aware of? Craik get to many Penalties or suspensions?
I think Craik could do something to keep the fans away from players when there leaving the ice, sure, but I've Also seen fans harass and confront players in Kenaston when they pass through the lobby on their way to the dressing rooms. Ive seen fans chirping players from the bottom of the stairwell as they come off the ice in Loreburn as well. Even seen fans heckle the visiting bench from behind the bench in Davidson. Never seen a player swing there stick at a fan then blame the rink.
All this sounds like sour grapes to me.
