Neither team is still in league playoffs. There’s really no good reason to play on a Wednesday. I hate when teams use the schedule as an advantage. It’s a cowards way to the championship. I’m not saying that’s what happened here though. 🤷🏼♂️

Wynyard has what they call the Hometown tournament the last weekend of March. Since the rink is booked by another group, I'm assuming that the Monarchs can't get ice time that weekend. Thus, the reason for the first game in Wynyard. I'm also going to assume that some of the Monarchs play in the tournament, thus the reason to play the third game, if necessary, on the Wednesday.

I’m sure the town of Wynyard could carve out 3 hours for a provincial final game from the rec tournament schedule. town of wynyard ice scheduling is a massive fail and stupiduty.......hawks had game there last month....there was a bantam or pee wee playoff game scheduled for 7 pm......two practices before it that could have been cancelled...but nope the hawks and wynyard game started way past 830 ....another time i was coaching and showed up for our 530 pm game......realized we would be starting bout 630-730----there were like 4-5 minor hockey games scheduled thru out day back to back to back and they had alloted 90 min for each game......so thinking the town of wynyard could carve out anything is laughable |

Gonna go with the home team tonight 6-3, Mac Shields plays his best against the Drake Canucks. Will be the best goalie Drake will have faced all provincials. Sometimes a goalie can steal a series alone.
