Everyone says this is a working man’s league, more like the laughing stock league in Sask. Get some more imports in this league so u don’t got goons like these morons are doing. A local kid who played junior should never count towards you elite spot. Watched a couple games in this league this year for the first time ever, the hockey was trash, most of these players should be playing Rec. People say well maymont etc can’t afford that, it’s easy to do fundraisers, cause what’s the point of icing teams if your not very good year after year like spiritwood. Correct me if I’m wrong but is this the only league who never had one team enter provincials? No reason these top teams can’t go in it.

I sort of get what you’re saying but can’t say I fully agree. You could allow 10 junior players per team but that will only cause a bigger divide between the top and bottom teams. Teams like meota and Battleford likely could fill up 6 or 7 spots if they wanted. But it still doesn’t help the maymonts, maidstones, spiritwoods of the league.
Open it up, it’ll end up like the NSRHL in 2 years and the league folds.

Like u said, it is going down hill. Something needs to happen because the games I have watched were Rec league games and this league could have so much potential with a little better local/import rules. |

I haven't been to a game in that league for at least 5 years, and it'll be another 5 before I go back, what a disgrace calling that entertainment. I agree open up some logical import rules instead of this bullshit of local guys having to burn up imports with locals. But this rule was put in place by the last president who is actually from Radisson, so touche I guess.

I grew up with him and drugs and booze took his hockey away. The guy had a future to make some money playing pro hockey. Guys will laugh by me saying that but I seen that small window where he was slightly in shape and having fun. He would chase after guys like Steve Spenser when he was 16 years old. And a nice guy on the ice until u set him off, could have a full convo with him and he would always ask how guys wife a kids are doing. Good heart but scary temper lol

Didn’t mean to stir the pot haha I was just saying this league needs to make some changes. Maybe instead of the minimum junior
Games being 40? Or what ever make it 80, locals should always be exempt. As for spiritwood bring in some decent players or take a year off. Anyone know how spiritwood crowds are?

Change the playoffs to the top 4 teams only.
Would be more competitive and would stop some of the bullshit.
These teams are probably losing money in the first rounds and you won’t have the trouble.
It’s time for some of these morons to hang them up! They are only here to injure someone at the end of the night.
