Any one who has watched these goalies play do not think it’s a wash. Dmyterko is miles better than Lewchuck. Dmyterko went to one of the best NCAA div 3 schools and Lewchuck barely could crack a Jr A squad. Dmyterko was the reason watrous stayed in games this year. Dmyterko's league games, sure kept watrous in some games. 10-3 loss vs Davidson 8-2 loss vs Leroy 7-0 loss vs Wadena 2-0 Win vs Lanigan 5-2 loss vs Wynyard 8-0 loss vs Drake 6-1 loss vs Leroy 7-3 loss vs Foam Lake 9-8 loss vs Drake |

Kenaston sure takes a lot of flack for a town with 200 people. I will say these are 2 loaded teams. Both with a lot of home town players. Should be a great serries

I think the series might rest on how much loyalty Redvers coaching staff to their older junior players. They can not play Mann,Fiderchuk the 2 Potopinskis in key situations and against the younger quicker Kenaston. They play lots in Big Six because they have earned respect from their opponents. Won’t be able to keep up vs Kenaston They did find a goalie so maybe willing to do that this year.

Going to be a good series. Kenaston was able to put up 8 goals against McNabb & Davidson’s defence. I don’t see them having an issue against Redvers. Will come down to goaltendending.

Should be a great serries Just because a player isn’t an import, it doesn’t really make him a home town player. A town of 200 does not go in C division unless it’s pulled a few other centres. How many of the blizzard players are actually from Kenaston , went to school there or ever played minor hockey there? |

Haugen x 3, McVeigh, Jewell, E Zdunich, Moir, Asbjorhus, Firby, Bembridge, Prpich, George x 2 and Feltis all went to Kenaston school at some point. M Zdunich from Hanley, ten miles away and works in Kenaston. That’s pretty good. Yakubowski and Adrian are from Dalmeny. That’s where much of their population comes from. Blizzards were the smallest population in C.

They have barely played hockey in at least a couple years. Asbjornhus moved from kenaston at a young age. He’s not really from kenaston. bembridge grew up in saskatoon. The only real locals that will play are mcveigh, jewell, zdunich, and the two haugens. |

Don’t act like Redvers is all locals. Not that they should or need to be. I’m sure their executive work their asses off too. Hard to run a great program that far from a major city. Two exceptional teams.

Kenaston is a very good and completely legitimate C team. Just getting tired of hearing how local they are. Anybody who follows senior hockey knows how it goes.
