Any way you look at it, appears the commish fumbled the bag and allowed Gibson to play till he had 6 pts in game 2, then figured he’d better read the rule book, all in all a minor league effort on his end |

I have sources close to both teams, this is what I hear the official story to be. Kinistino brought it to the attention of the league before game 1 that Allan had a player with less than 5 games played. The league notified both Kinistino and Allan that everyone on Allan’s roster was eligible to play in the playoffs. After game 2 the league took notice to the violation and notified Allan 3 hours before puck drop that the game was forfeited. Sounds like the league made a mistake as there was talk of lowering the minimum games played from 5 to 4 because the 5 games rule was originally put in place as 25% of the season when the seasons were 18-20 games, now that this year the regular season was reduced to 16 games some teams were under the impression the minimum games was lowered to 4. Seems like a simple misunderstanding to me. Wheatland was always 4 games, makes it being a mistake more understandable but wow that’s a costly one. Would have been a great game 3. |

I can confirm Allan contacted the league themselves. After game 2 there was some chatter around an illegal player, Allan contacted the league wondering if the player was still eligible or if he should sit out game 3. League informed Allan the player was eligible, league then called back a few hours later saying the series was over.

Allan screwed up and should have double checked before series’s started. Allan completely outplayed Kinistino the last regular season game and both playoff game’s series should have been done! They fluke the OT win. They were honest about the mistake not hiding how many elite they have etc like others. If you don’t know shit shut your mouth more than likely you can’t even skate.

i take it from looking at website game 3 1-0 kinistino---so they never played and was forefit.... but looking at gamesheet how they determine who scored the goal---they have a guy listed as scoring unassited at a certain time  or does the software for entering not let you post a game without listing indivdual scorers? |

They were not getting passed Kinistino, and they weren’t going to get through birch hills, and would look like fools against my chiefs in the finals if they ever fluked out 2 series wins.
