So which one of you Kinistino idiots complained and got the game cancelled? Sounds to me if anyone are idiots it’s the Allan Flames planning on playing playoff hockey with ineligible players on their roster. |

I'm hearing Allan phoned the league and told them themselves (Good on them for that). But those goofs should have to pay a fine to kinistino not only for tonight's cancelled game but game 2 also.

I have sources close to both teams, this is what I hear the official story to be. Kinistino brought it to the attention of the league before game 1 that Allan had a player with less than 5 games played. The league notified both Kinistino and Allan that everyone on Allan’s roster was eligible to play in the playoffs. After game 2 the league took notice to the violation and notified Allan 3 hours before puck drop that the game was forfeited. Sounds like the league made a mistake as there was talk of lowering the minimum games played from 5 to 4 because the 5 games rule was originally put in place as 25% of the season when the seasons were 18-20 games, now that this year the regular season was reduced to 16 games some teams were under the impression the minimum games was lowered to 4. Seems like a simple misunderstanding to me.

I call BS on Allan actually fessing up to any wrong doing, there's zero chance that happened! Quite typical of them to "cancel" a game and reschedule it to their advantage. They haven't changed one bit. |

Rumors coming out of Saskatoon that Allan is hiring a new GM and is coming for vengeance (league and provincials) next season. I’d be weary, seems like there are some serious connections that will be leveraged next season.
