Check out Craik to Bethune and Lumsden Check out Craik to Davidson and Watrous How far is Craik to Eston or Kyle? Could make a case all three of these leagues are in Craik’s “geographical area” Davidson is close but Watrous is still an hour away, then you add in lanigan, Drake. Leroy, Wynyard, Wadena, foam lake. Doesnt make sense to add craik Exactly. Doesn’t make sense for the SVHL either. Kenaston and Loreburn are close but then add in Kyle, Eston, Rosetown, Delisle, Dinsmore, Lucky Lake. Why would the SVHL teams drive past a LLHL team to play Craik. I’d bet any time Davidson asks to enter the SVHL they would be willing to accept Craik and make an east and west division.

It also didn't make sense for a lot of teams to let Eston in the league but they did. Craik is a much better drive for lots of teams than Centeal Butte. There are a lot of players in this league that commute out of Saskatoon and Craik is a better drive to all towns with the exception of Delilse and Kenaston. Central Butte saying no is absolutely baffling to me. Kenaston, Butte, Outlook and Loreburn are all within an hour of Craik. Eston to Craik is the same distance as Eston to Central Butte. Unless some of the hicks in these small towns can't read a map geography seems like a poor excuse. Davidson is close but Watrous is still an hour away, then you add in lanigan, Drake. I am not calling out Eston. They are just the furthest trip for most teams. If teams can make that trip they can make it to Craik as well.

Seems like butte and loreburn thought they would stand to benefit from craik folding, very tough look for neighboring towns to not support one another.

Guys will travel to Edmonton for one night to watch a hockey game, but lucky lake to craik? Not a chance,no way, borderline abuse asking grown men to do that.

I just think it's a really bad look for any league to deny any team. There will become a time when leagues are desperate for teams. For what's its worth I think it's even worse the LLHL said no.

Why would anyone want to play in that rink if they don't have to. That is the only reason they aren't getting voted in any league. Its not that teams don't want the great competition Craik offers. Its the barn they play out of.

Its the barn they play out of. Completely agree. That’s a huge part of it. Also Craik won’t be competitive for much longer. Maybe 3-4 years then they are crappy or even folding. Although that may be a reason to accept them if you see them folding up after they are done being competitive.
