Would be great to see although I would suspect this would leave Cabri very short handed since they had quite a few Leader/Eatonia young guns last year...

I think between Cabri Leader Eatonia everyone is looking good for players. Leader is around 20 majority young guys I heard Cabri got some good players from swift that played east last year and eatonia has young guys from town and they got others from kindersley.

pre season power rankings:
1. Maple creek- assuming the same squad as last year they will build on a good year and win most games
2. Cabri- have to think they lost some important players to the new teams but also have to think they replaced them
3. Gull lake- rumour has it some good local guys are playing again. top 3 teams will be very close
4. Shaunavon- really good hard working group of young locals
5. Eatonia- good core and depth but tough to imagine they landed any high end players
6. Leader- not sure what to expect. heard maybe they got some good imports but very skeptical of depth
7. Frontier- hoping they surprise the league with a few more wins this year but haven't heard of any improvements
I'm thinking its gonna be the most competitive the league has ever been top to bottom. would not be surprised to see any of the top 6 teams on the top of the standings at some point in the year

So really, no new players joining the league. Can’t see it being any better than previous years if players are just shuffling around or do you have names?

All the talk a couple months back was that Zach Smith was playing for Maple Creek this year. Haven’t heard anything recently though. Maybe he’s not going to play full time?

Derek Thomas back in Shaunavon. Adam Antkowiak back in Leader. Cody and Justin Spagrud in Gull Lake. BJ Somerville in Eatonia. Blake Martyniuk Joel rumpel and some young ex junior players joining dulle in cabri. I heard the Zack smith rumour about provincials.... doubtful on league but if he did that would also be a big improvement. Definitely a more talented league than last year

Sounds like the Hawks were trying to pick up some big names from other teams in the league and make a go for it. It will definitely be interesting to see who lands where when the season gets underway.
