1. A team plays a suspended player, wins the game, but it's okay - SHA just makes them play the game over....??
2. A player gets a Match penalty with 9 seconds left in a game, but it's okay - SHA just changes it to a major, reducing the suspension from 4 games down to 1.....??

Even if God sorry I mean SH reduced the penalty to a major from a match penalty should there not another game suspension since it happened in the last 10 minutes of the game?

The LLHL website is a complete joke. You can't find any info on it.

27 Drakes match got changed to a Major?! Game Sheet also shows 27 Drake having an abuse of official in same stoppage of play. How many games 27 games have to serve?

I’ve got no horse in the race but why is Drake continually getting preferential treatment? First the Draude situation, now this. Games replayed, suspensions apparently reduced, makes no sense.

I agree with the penalty being charged from a match to major. I was at the game the cross check from my seat did not look like a match. However I do not understand the one game suspension the way I read the rulebook a major for crosschecking is an automatic 1 game suspension, plus it was in the last 10 minutes which should be another game, I do not understand the one game suspension should be 2.

Hard to make any sense of this situation. It is sad though when the almighty SH doesn’t even follow their own rules and hand book. I think all teams only want consistency. Why even have these rules and guidelines in place if they aren’t followed?

I was at Saturday’s game and not Sunday’s but I am hearing the officiating was one sided. Is there any truth to this .? McClintock would have been at Sunday’s game to hand out the provincial trophy I wander what he thought of the officiating?

Weird situation forsure. My take on it is, there is lots of video of the play out there, the cross check was only worthy of a 2 minuet penalty and looks way worse then it was because the players stick broke, sticks also break very easy these days, the player that got cross checked didn’t even flinch or fall down, the player who got cross checked also deserved it. Not saying I agree with any rulings that were given out. Just my opinion on the play. That play is never called as a gross.

Rule 8.2 Cross Checking A. A minor penalty or at the discretion of the Referee based on degree of violence of impact, a Major and a game Misconduct penalty shall be assessed to a player that cross checks an opponent. B is about cross checking a goalie. C. A major and a game Misconduct penalty shall be assessed to any player who injures an opponent as a result of the cross check. D. A Match penalty shall be assessed to any player who deliberately injures an opponent with a cross check.
To me I don't care what happens but in the video the guys doesn't seem to be injured. I wasnt there but I am sure there was a SHA rep at the game.

I understand the rule as stated above but I thought the 5 was fair. He skated a long ways to cross check an unaware player engaged with someone else square in the back with enough force to snap that twig like spaghetti. Not debating the Major vs Match.
This isn’t the first time I’ve heard SHA change a call on the ice after the fact when provided video evidence. First time I’ve heard it in Senior though.
