Wondering if there will be any interest in provincials with all that’s going on.

When January rolls around It would take an extreme amount of hockey in a very condensed window to complete some semblance of a regular season and playoffs in the respective leagues. The chances of their being any type of provincial hockey is pretty well non existent. I’d be happy with some league games/playoffs and although I always enjoy provincials at this point I don’t even care.

Scrap the league play, provincials only to finish the season. Best of 3s all on a weekend. teams will get knocked out right away. Don't play again until next week to get your 5 days off in between opponents.

So...much like the NHL format you would like to see guys get geared up to potentially play 2 games in some potentially far away location and be done? And if you didn’t want to enter provincials in December you are just done even if you have a good team? Yup...makes perfect sense.

This weekend would have likely been the last weekend of Provincials. Here is hoping next year is 100% normal!

Provincials will be a go this year Love to see it. A deep run in Senior hockey provincials can really bring a community together.

Really wish Sask Hockey would take the same approach Sask Baseball did and base provincial rankings off of strength of team and not population. It's not hard to rank teams fairly evenly based off of team record and caliber of players on teams (ie ex junior and pro guys). I would argue to say that since Sask Baseball took this approach, far more teams are entering and the tournaments are super competitive. Sask hockey Teams are either lying about who is "hometown" on their roster or not entering because there just aren't enough people in small towns any more.
