Top Players in Big Six Hockey League 1. Bud Holloway -Moosomin (Played in show . Does everything right out there & snaps a puck like one no else.) 2. Preston Kopeck- Redvers ( Western Leaguer. Dynamic play maker , the most creative player in the league . 3. Ben Johnstone - Carlyle(Jr A guy. The heartbeat of Cougars, Very nice player to watch, fast as hell , strong on puck , scores , does it all) 4. Brady Gaudet- Redvers. (Western Leaguer, top D man in the 6 for sure, all around does everything a number 1 D man needs to do and can let a slap shot go as hard as anyone in the province.) After these 4 it gets complicated so I’ll just leave it at this.

D is tough. A few good ones that you left off but hard to decide who comes off. Goalies.....I am not sure Brothen is even #2 goalie on his team.

The first two lines were tough and was just filling spots. I was also going off of stats this year. Also was good against Grenfell the 3 games I watched.

From those in the know, who would you rate as the top player in Sask this year in each category: Forward: Defenseman: Goalie: Forward: Defenseman: Goalie:[/quote] I’ve seen about 15 SaskAlta Games this year “league wide” this is what I’ve seen based on my evaluation and points these players have produced. Note that some players have played less games, but have high number of Points. * Ex. Brady Zerr Note” - Meadow lake plays in The SaskAlta, and they are looking at taking the title for Provincials on Saturday Vs Drake. This league is full of ex Nhl, Semi Pro, NCAA, Cis players, CJHL Definitely up for discussion, for being a top 5 league in Saskatchewan. Sask-Alta “Top Players” Forwards - Young - Yew - King Bailey - Hope -Iron Walker- Dicker - Hounsell Zerr Defence - . Fletcher - Yew Silenka - Spagard Gosselin Goalies - not really any strong goalies in the saskalta this year, although Bryan bridges did come out of retirement, for the “3rd” time in his career. In regards for top players in Saskatchewan. King Looks like he could still be playing in the NHL, “Some” nights. Layne young is very exciting to watch, when he pushes off the half -wall, I don’t think any goalie this year in the sask Alta had a chance. The underrated Yew twins looked well nourished, definitely helped Walburg this season, with the success they’ve had, Regan Yew is a very special forward I might add, when he’s hot, he’s hot, the guy is unstoppable when he’s on his game, his speed and skill is unmatched at times, but consistency is huge factor to this kid, but it seems like he’s maturing more into a consistent goal scorer. Robin Yew is the most underrated defence-man in all of Saskatchewan, the kid can flat out play, “defensively”, his offensive game has really taken a stride in this years Saskalta playoffs. Regan did top Young with the point lead this season, but Young looked a lot more of a threat. Jared Iron would’ve definitely been in top 5 in scoring this season, but an early onset of injuries baffled the Bronco Sniper. Trevor Bailey of the St. Walburg Eagles is the face of the SaskAlta league, and has been for years, he plays youthful and has a chip on his shoulder and hasn’t lost a step, even at the twine of his career he still manages to produce night in and night out. Kylar hope “the kid can flat out dance with the puck” the lashburn product is natural born goal scorer finishing 3rd in this years SaskAlta scoring, although the kid does like to spend a lot of his game complaining to the referees on a nightly basis. There’s alot of skilled players in this league, and a lot of benders, but the benders are the guys who will do anything for their team. That’s why I love watching the SaskAlta, especially these playoffs! They have certainly been a thrill to watch, I don’t care if anyone doesn’t agree with me on this argument or topic, but this is what I’ve seen this year, then again I’m just a former player of the league and also a vivid hockey fan. Glad hockey is back! A lot of upsets this year, Going to be exciting to see who comes out on top!

Cullen Morin is a guy who belongs on your “d” list, that guy is simply awesome for Meadow.

Just because most of the talk on here is the southern teams Pretty underrated guys #1 Dylan Smith with shellbrook absolutely ran the TRHL this year. Not a big shellbrook fan but this guy is a stud fun to watch, Reed Gunnville, Kelly Friesen. Canaday D man for shellbrook put up a lot of points this year, 18 year old Helm with shellbrook put up 45 points in the twin rivers, this league doesn’t get enough credit for being the biggest league in the province, good competitive hockey every night
