Yah it was so brutal too. Imagine asking a 40 year old who hasn’t played on an elite team in 16 years and played in years to come play and get hosed for it… lest not forget the only QV team he ever played for was the rockets and for 3 years but couldn’t get a grandfather rule?? If it was Balcarres or Lumsden that woulda been no problem, but let’s make a huge fit about the 40 year old that hasn’t “designated elite status” in 16 years. How dumb you whiners sound. If we’re gonna pout about every single rule, the leagues will never be better off. It’s the same as classifying a guy as “jr. B elite” even though he played 2 games in a jr.b league 8 years ago. It’s brutal. Clearly this guy doesn’t know the rules. There isn’t a grandfather rule. There is a 3-year rule. Which means you’ve played 3 consecutive years with the same team and this is year 4. Ryan Cruse played multiple years with Raymore from 2009-2019. He also played with Avonlea. RC LAST played senior hockey on Wynyard in 2021-22. Lots of players are in their late 30 but I didn’t see those teams crying on here. Ex: Brown, Heywood, Albers, Berny, Gorsilitz. No one gets classified as ELITE because the played 2 JR B games eight years ago. They are an ELITE import because they played JR A or higher. Or do you mean the Rockets multiple attempts to get teams and the league to support classifying Chast Sare as a JR B, even though he played in the USHL and JR A in Ontario? Stop cheating. Played more than 30 games in the USHL and played Junior A in Metro Toronto. |

Just got off the phone with a couple of Rocket guys in the know and man they are going to be decent.
Not a born and raised in Raymore guy but they are doing things right there. They got unreal sponsorship. Good community support. Good executive. Might not win tomorrow but my gut tells me they are going to win soon.
And could be one of this things that last for a long time.
Good for them.

I heard today that milestone was offering big money to players from elk horn after they folded to come play with them But it didn’t work because moosomen Rangers out bid them and got all five of them.

Ya and I’m sure the 3 hour drive to Milestone had no play in this? Haha that is just ridiculous to think those guys would be driving 3 hours into Saskatchewan to play home games. They have plenty of options to play senior so highly doubt they were considering doing that. |

I think Milestone has lost some of their imports. I have heard Gorsalitz, Yano, and Peterson are all going to Raymore. They moved on when Milestone tried to go into the Notekeu, now that they got declined I think they kind of are screwed from a roster stand point. |
