Only entertaining if the teams are even strength. All these teams that are paying stupid amounts of money out are exactly why senior hockey is fizzling out! pay more money than What a stupid short sighted answer. Senior hockey is not profitable as it is. Telling teams they need to pay more to bring these guys out is a joke. This is amateur hockey not professional. Senior hockey is about the town not the player. Gunna see less and less teams going forward forsure because of this.

Senior hockey has been growing the last few years not fizzling out.
Any teams that don’t want to be in a high calibre/high expense league like the QVHHL or the LLHL can join a DIV 3 league.
Look at the Praire Men’s Hockey League. Two former HHL teams joining. Want senior hockey. Don’t want to pay.
Good for them. Great solution.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there is six teams in that league next year.

The funny thing is that only people involved with running a senior team give a shit about if they win or not. 2 years from now know one will care or even remember who won the league or provincials. It has turned into a self serving boys club. Take that for what its worth.

On spittin chiclets, mentioned on national outlets, and huge crowds consistently. If you want to watch local heroes that never made it and 1 man shows. You go back to how it was… if you wanna watch local heroes combined with good players who will come out to small towns for an incentive and then be a part of a community, then you get really good product on the ice , more viewing , more revenue and should bolster the towns economy and buzz to and if ur an owner not doing a good job of it? Then be better, advertise, talk to town sponsors, grow your product just like any other small business. You get what you put in.

Why would top players around sask give up their time to go drive around the province to play for free? TIME IS MONEY, and some guys time is worth more! People whining about guys getting paid too much probably werent good enough to make the $. If teams want to pay, so be it. Sask SR has never been more on the map. Over 1000 fans in a packed Lumsden rink to watch QV and Prov A last year. Great atmosphere for community, players and supporters

Provincials is a different ball game, especially provincial A. I have no problem if teams wanna spend money on guys there cause if you can make a run, you can really in turn make your team a lot of money off of it. But in league play I don't see the sense in giving guys big money. People don't care who's playing they're not coming to watch an 8-0 game in January when it's -40 our for a a nothing league game. Provincials there's so much more on the line and that's where I can see the guys looking for big money.

Ok enough with the whining and complaining, lets get back to the topic of QV Moves. Hearing Southey has some local boys coming back maybe, and Gubba was scared Mickoski would sign somewhere other then the bronc's, so he made up a rule and he went back to the cobras as he didn't want to play for him.

I also heard about Mickoski being a Jr B player? Not sure how that wouldve worked but he was going to Raymore on a JR B card and Gubba called it into the league to get it shut down... Allegedly

Teams cheating the system should be not be able to get away with it.

Im sure there was a reason they tried. I would not say it’s cheating the system as much as it was a rule misunderstanding. Lumsden, Balcarres and Grenfell find loopholes every year. It is why they have such an advantage.
