Kenaston is the best team in the province. No denying it now. Before this series I had Lumsden as number 1. I’ll eat my words.

The only local players from Kenaston who played provincials were Jewell, Zdunich, Mcveigh, N Haugen, C Haugen, and Asbjornhus. Also, I barely ever saw the Haugens on the ice, so idk if I count them. Bembridge is not a local, he never played minor hockey in Kenaston, nor did he live there.
Congrats on their success, and I hope they enjoy the good times because, in a few years, it is going to look very grim for their town when it comes to hockey in any capacity.

The notion that playing more locals will increase the longevity of a team is flawed.

Yes Bembridge played minor hockey in Kenaston until he moved to Saskatoon in Grade 5.

But he did play minor hockey there and lived there until he was around 12. He’s cousins with a bunch of those guys. Kenaston didn’t cut any of their league guys and have Dalmeny and Prudhomme players who are prominent guys. Craik as well with Duller. What do people want from a town of 280 people in A. Drake didn’t have 18 guys from Drake on it. Nor did I expect them to. Ke Kenaston has some geographical advantages obviously, but they get great sponsorship and have a management group that clearly works hard.

Wait, when did Prov A suddenly become about "local" teams?

Gotta take shots at the champs. lots on here have been respectful and positive. Some people just have to complain. I give props to Lumsden too. Tough road through the south and playing league finals as well. That's a good hockey team and were very classy after the game was out of reach and after during the presentations.

Where did I hate on the team? I am happy for their success. You can never take it away.
At the end of the day, the core four players are Mcveigh, Yakubowski, Gay, and Tkatch. These guys need to stay with Kenaston and keep playing at a high level for them to keep having success. It has nothing to do with management. They were "working hard" for years with no results. Other than winning in 2012, Kenaston didn't win jack shit before this run they went on. It helps they got rid of Mike Prpich as well, all he did was take stupid penalties and run his mouth off.
The local good players still make or break you from winning a provincial Ship. If you just buy a full team without any locals, you aren't gonna win most times.

Ok ok. Let’s see the blizzzz enter AAA now just like Bethune did a few years ago. I’m afraid the blizz are too good for any of the four categories now.

I bet you couldn’t throw hands with mike, who do you think led the team to victory in 11/12 let alone was a big help in 21/22 win against Craik where fyi he didn’t take a single penalty grow up reply to me when you know more about hockey

McVeigh, Bembridge, jewell, Asbjorhnus and the coach all first cousins. Pretty sure even Durand from the provincial roster is connected in too. That Sound local enough, they wouldn’t play sr elsewhere and are kenaston boys for the most part.

Just saying.

That sounds like a lot of people who belong to the local community of Kenaston in some way or another. Haters gonna hate I guess. That’s a lot of local talent, and guys who all get a lot of ice time. Congrats to Da Blizz- 6 banners in three years.
