What’s going on with Hafford? Redberry in Sphl playing out of Hafford? Hafford Mustangs in Sphl And Hafford Hawks playing in Swhl. Can someone explain this, wtf? Rumour has it the Hafford boys on the Redberry team were all throwing hissy fits cause they aren't as good but thought they were better than they are. So they left the team and started up there own team out of Hafford. Hawks will still play in the SWHL and Stangs will be the new worst team in the SPHL. Gonna be real humbling for those fellas when they go 1-15 this season. Combines for the 4PEAT!! |

Lol considering the GM of Hafford Mustangs just posted on Saskatoon Rec hockey free agent page on facebook begging for players to come play. They are gonna be dog shit!!!!!!!!! |

There’s no reason for them to have 2 teams and the team in the swhl ihardly anyone is even from hafford it’s a joke |

The same could be said about some of the radisson boys starting a team in Langham but good for them |

Regular Season Predictions:
East:
1)Battleford
2)Raddy
3)Langham
4)Perdue
5)Redberry
6)Hafford
West
1)Meota
2)St Walburg
3)Neilburg
4)Turtleford
5)Glaslyn
6)Maidstone
Don't know anything about the new teams, but assuming St Walburg will be fairly strong as I've heard they will have good "elite" players (Yews). I heard the McDonald brothers aren't playing in Turtleford this year so who knows how they will be. I'd imagine Meota will have a few minor tweaks but will likely bring back a lot of the same guys. Haven't heard anything about Neilburg but they will likely be fairly strong again. Glaslyn will probably take a step back after making it to the finals last year, but will probably be decent. Maidstone will probably be the same as every other year they've been in this league. The West is definitely a lot stronger and I would guess that one or both of the teams that miss playoffs in that division would make the playoffs if they were in the East. Battleford is usually a top 4 team in the league and Raddy is usually decent, but if Langham takes some of their players they will probably not be as strong this year. Don't know why Hafford is going to have 2.5 senior teams (Redberry) but seeing as Redberry has been a bottom 3 team since entering this league, i cant imagine them improving with this new Hafford team joining. Perdue will be Perdue.
IMO the league should have went with the 3 division option just to make it more even. Either way should be an interesting year.

If meota got the guy that I heard they got they’ll be fine for toughness. Heard the McDonald boys aren’t going anywhere so Turtleford will have the same solid team as usual, just need to find some non elites who can score to give the some more offence. The yews aren’t even locals to walburg but heard they have 3 other good local elites still though so still should be a top team. Haven’t heard if neilburg or glaslyn are icing similar teams to last year or not so can’t place them. Battleford is having “try outs” once again (lol) but should walk all over their division regardless. Radisson will probably have a tough time finding guys with the other two teams taking some of their bodies. As for the Redberry/Hafford situation, hopefully this fires up a bit of a rivalry similar to the meota vs Battleford, Turtleford vs glaslyn, Neilburg vs everyone rivalries. Should be a good year regardless.

So I hear the guys that left Redberry is no loss for them more like a step ahead. My guess is that they picked up more higher quality players for this year’s team.
