Congrats Rangers. A lot of non-sense written here and many can’t put a complete sentence together to make any sense at all. IMO, bottom line is each game was close and Redvers had the scoring opportunities at regular strength and on the power play to win each game so should not be pointing finger at payrolls, coaches, the so called “old core”,
and the list of excuses goes on. Moosomin was the better team overall.
Do the Rockets still get profits from a quarter section of land used to fund the team? What about their other fundraisers? Does Brady Gaudet and his Dad still try to call all the shots in Redvers?
Without the Rockets “old” core of Millers, Hoff, Toms, Fidierchuk the Rockets aren’t a contender in today’s league although they did win one without the Millers if memory serves me correctly. Also, I don’t consider this core old or washed up by any means, many good years ahead of them.
Henderson likely deserved some more ice in final game but with so many penalties there were lots of guys with very limited ice. The young guys time will come if they stick to it with a good attitude.
Rykr Cole along with big Elmes and Beckett carried Moosomin through the playoffs with the other Moosomin stars finding their way in the final series. There should be no comparison between Cole and the pests of the league in Fidierchuk, Gabrielle, Enger and the last two are basically irrelevant players but Lamotte and Magotiaux. Cole finishes each check and goes to the tough areas, naturally guys don’t like that. More importantly, he scores big goals unlike the others.
Lastly, several Redvers fans and players chatting about how Boutin (is he 51?) shouldn’t be playing throughout the season and the finals. He’s a competitor, guys were scared of him, he played smart and I’m not sure Moosomin wins without him. He was a great fit with Rangers this season.
