I didn’t catch either of the first two games but someone I know did. I trust his report. The cross check was to the face of #52 on BHills. I was told the game is Rosthern was a much tighter back and forth game but by the sounds of it Birch outplayed the Wheatkings Sunday and Smith decided that the only way to make an impact was to cross check a guy in the face. Must have picked that move up from Willow last series. Gunville is a little **** himself so likely deserved it I don’t care what anyone says. The cross check was vicious and no one in hockey can deserve that |

last time there was a cross check to the face the hawk landed in clavet, and he got a 6 month suspension! hope birch hills guy is ok, otherwise was 4 games a long enough susp?

Completely milked it played the majority or the 5 minute power play after laying on the ice like he was down for the count... unbelievable for a guy this age.

Birch is gonna have to ride their 6 forwards and 4ish D if they’re gonna have any shot at beating the mighty Wheatkings from the west! They should be ok. At the end of the day 2 good teams will wake up this morning hungover from last night and good seasons and back to work Monday to think about golf season.
