I’m hearing different rumours from everybody I talk to about the situation the word is they do have a goaltender nobody seems to know if it’s for league playoffs or provincials or both or if they have a different guy for both omg this is a real gong show and I’m sure it will affect the fan base with nobody knowing what is happening I for one will not be making the trip to Ochap on Sunday Until I know who they have Got for a tender And a few other people I talked to are saying same thing

I will not being going to this game we don’t have enough local guys, it’s truly is shameful that we are going on league and provincials like this. I’ll admit I was excited for this, not anymore. #donebeingafan

I just chuckle how the hockey world slams the powerful Carlyle Cougars on these posts. Going the home-grown route has achieved them the following "impressive" results in the Big Six Hockey League.
Last Big Six Champs - 2000-2001 23 years ago
Last Big Six final appearance 2006-2007 17 years ago
Last Big Six semi-final appearance 2011-2012 12 years ago
FOLDING for 2013/14, 2014/15, and 2015/16.
In defeating Wawota on Wednesday, the Cougars are now likely to face the Moosomin Rangers in the Big Six semi-finals. Their FIRST appearance in the SEMIS in over a decade in a 9 team league not ranked as one of the top three in the Province. Moosomin was embarrassed in the league final last year against the Redvers Rockets and this year have added imports Brock Trotter and the two Elmes brothers to their roster. They will be favoured in the semis and will likely make the finals once again.
I am certain that local veterans like McLean, Turgeon, Rose, Shaw, and Johnstone don't really care about the imports being brought in. They all want to be part of a team that perhaps some day can compete for a championship.
Bad mouth and hate them all you like. But not much a of winning record in the past quarter-century. A "DYNASTY" they are not!

If all there skaters r ready to play in league playoffs they will
Give moosomin all
They can handle But the last two or three games They have been missing a lot of players not sure if they’re injured sick or what if they r not in the line up they will not beat moosomin

Props to Carlyle… not sure what the deal will be with the goalies down the stretch, I don’t think it’ll matter. This team is deep and playing there best hockey… confident, playing as a team with a single goal in mind. Good luck to Wadena in the rematch
