To be sitting here talking smack anonymously about a guy like Kent who donates tonnes of time and money to handfuls or organizations (swimming pool, combine lotto, golf course etc) says more about you than it ever could about him. Game 5 - ticket to the finals on the line, and we throw a midget hockey high school kid out to the wolves. It is crazy in front of 400-500 people that is the type of game the league execs wanted to decide this awesome series. If that is how you want your league represented, then great, 14-6 it is, goals going in from the red line, awesome. What could have been last night, another incredible game had FL had any sort of senior goalie, no shade to the young man, what is he suppose to do, the league execs made a bad call in my opinion.

The League didn't decide to do anything other than vote the way it would have gone with any other team making the request. if you run with an AP goalie as your back up then this is what can happen. that's not on the executive thats on Foam Lake for not sourcing a back up.

That is literally no one's fault but Foam Lakes. All they needed was to have a backup goalie on the roster and they avoid that whole situation. Just because it happens to Foam Lake the league is supposed to bend over and change the rules for them? Get a grip. |

Does it really make a difference if it is game 5 or game 1? does that go into the decision making? if it does i think you have a bigger problem. blame hockey sask for the rules all you want or the league for following them. but to factor in that things should change because it was a game 5 is bananas. |

I think playoff game it shouldn't matter, you always want to represent your league to the fullest of its awesomeness. Playing midget goalie for any of our teams is not a good look for the league. Any team in FLs should have been given a senior goalie to play, that kid is on the midget team, is a midget player, its wild that is the first place for teams to HAVE to grab from, when the kid was not comfortable playing. Any team should be allowed to have a senior goalie.

Poor management for sure, change is coming foam lake coach lost the room months ago i heard, but what about the wynyard u11/u9 tool of a coach that is suspended all season now

Having played senior hockey in my midget years I guarantee it’s way more dangerous playing as a forward against grown men than playing goal with today’s equipment and rules. Back then if a goalie left his crease to handle the puck he was fair game. Seriously if the kid didn’t feel safe then why did he sign up as an AP ? This whole discussion is bs The rules exist for this situation and were followed. Lucky break for wynyard Nobody is to blame
