Luckiest bar down I’ve ever seen! Ting ting Yep, off Dman’s stick too. Can’t get much luckier than that. Classic Lumsden bounce after they get dominated all OT Are you new to hockey? “Lucky bounces” are a huge part of the game, and not to be used as an excuse when your team loses.

Tough loss for Balcarres. They for sure carried the play in OT, even had a Bernhardt breakaway that looked like he beat the Unruh and just missed. I thought Lumsden was the better team on paper but Balcarres played just as well as them and pushed them to the brink. Balcarres lacked secondary scoring tonight, Bernhardt was probably the best player on the ice (I think he had 4 points) but they got absolutely nothing from their second line. Lumsden had the advantage where they really have 2 first lines that can both dominate at times.
You would think Lumsden is the favorite the rest of the way, should be interesting to see how round lake does against them next round though.

For the amount of pickups and unlimited payroll Lumsden has they should be embarrassed Balcarres took them to the brink. Either team really could’ve won. Gotta be the best series of provincials this year and agree this will ultimately have been provincial final as I can’t see anyone beating these two. It’s a shame a lucky bounce like that in OT was the way it ended. Cant see either of these teams getting by Round Lake Kudos to RL, they are playing really well and are nice to watch. I think Lumsden takes this in 2 though. Lumsden is about 8 D deep and they dont ice a weak forward. They’re not necessarily a high flying offensive juggernaut of a team but they hardly make a mistake. Also they wont go 0-16 on the PP with 3 shortys against i can say that for certain.

Great Series and Great game, Balcarres had there chances to put that away, multiple chances in the third period and OT. 41 Bernhardt played extremely well for Balcarres (3G 1A) but i agree with One mans thoughts they had no secondary scoring. Lumsden has 3 lines that can score at anytime. Hodgson played well and so did Unruh, the reffing was good in this game and they let them play, great game to watch. Good luck to Lumsden.

It overtime in a do or die game. Its almost going to always come down to a lucky bounce or a greasy goal. Overall it was a heck of a hockey game and series. Both teams should be happy with their effort, obviously Balcarres will be disappointed with the result. This very well might have essentially been the provincial final. I don't want to take away from the other teams but I have a hard time seeing Lumsden losing.

Who cares whose payroll is higher? It is pretty ironic that Balcarres is complaining about that though when they are literally the team responsible for payrolls getting so out of hand in senior hockey to start with. There was no such thing as a $500 per game player in senior until Balcarres did that with Bernhardt years ago.
