Balcarres out played them in the third and had momentum until taking those 2 penalties and giving up the 5 on 3 goal. After the first period I wasn't sure if Balcarres could play with them but as the game went on they improved. Macualey made all the stops he needed to and Hodgson also played well for Balcarres. Balcarres hasn't won at home yet in provincials, it will be interesting to see if they can do it on Friday. |

Not to mention lumsden play Falling pretty easily that play before bernhardts penalty’s, what was the penalty ratio? Not tryna be a dick but generally wanna know |

Can someone tell me where to go to find scoring summary for provincial games? Can’t find it on SHA website there sadly is no way. It depends if the league posts them. The big 6 posts the game sheet but theri the only league that does it. |

Watched the game and the difference was lumsden got 2 lucky bounces that they scored. And none of you can even argue with me on that

Very entertaining game. Lumsden dominated 1st. Led 2-0 and had another 4 or 5 chances that Balcarres goalie made some great saves. 2nd was a lot more even but Lumsden would have definitely had the edge. They had shots/chances that seemed to be coming from in tight and the majority of Balcarres shots were perimeter shots in my opinion. I thought Lumsden defense were great. 2-0 after 2. Balcarres came out in the 3rd and dominated the first 12ish minutes. They managed to get a cycle going in lumsdens end and Lumsden were struggling to handle their forecheck. They were generating more dangerous scoring chances and buried a beautiful 2 on 1. Then as mention by others, Balcarres took 2 penalties. My opinion was one of them was an obvious penalty and one was very weak. Especially given the timing of the game, already short handed, and had let some similar hits like that go (by both teams) earlier in the game. Those are just my opinions of the penalties and every one will have different thoughts. But the 5-3 power play sealed the deal for Lumsden. They scored on it and all the moment Balcarres had in the first 12ish minutes of the 3rd period was gone. 3-1 final. Not sure if both teams had full rosters or were missing players but was a great game to watch.

Both These teams have good forward depth but lumsdens is better with the pickups they have. Defense is pretty much equal but I’d give the edge to Balcarres. Goalie the edge goes to McCauley but hodson has been phenomenal this year. I think Balcarres will win game 2 but lumsden wins game 3 in a tight one. It hurts that Balcarres does not have Milligan playing.
