With provys underway and teams venturing across the prairie landscape and meeting new teams other than the usual league foes it got me thinking if anyone wanted to share the history of some of the names in this province?
Did an old farmer have too many pops in southey one night and swear his slough was swimming with Marlins?
Did many Bears once frequent the streets of Delisle?
Did Louis Armstrong once bleed his gums in the Porquipine Plain bar?
Kidding aside some of these names must have a story behind them worth sharing.
Or is this serious season and no off topic threads allowed?

Kelly chase blues enforcer legend is from porcupine so I’m assuming that’s where the blues come from

It’s all fun and games except for the fact this guy actually has influence on the outcomes of important games. Oh that’s right tho, “it’s just sr hockey, why do people take it so serious”. Well you’re the one that needs the income from it so I guess its a good thing for people being serious lol |

I'll go the other way - re-brand options:
1) Kindersley Cobra Chickens - goes with their Goose Festival - love the name and separates them from the SJ team.
2) Kyle Mammoths - town sign features a mammoth and they are close to extinction.
3) Craik Nomads - removes a possible offensive name and logo, but still valid cause they have to move around cause nobody wants them.
4) Kenaston Huskies - nuff said.
5) Wilkie In-laws - always better if it is kept in the family.
Other suggestions? Lets have some fun!
