There have been some movement this week as some perennial favorites have lost.
1. Wilkie Outlaws-Far chance that the Outlaws stay on top all year. They ran the table in league and have a great chance to hang a Prov banner as well.
2. Davidson Cyclones-Head into Playoffs with the best record on the SVHL. They play Outlook in Round 2
3. Foam Lake Flyers-While they finished second to Wadena they have won 5 in a row while beating Wadena, Leroy, Lanigan and Watrous twice.
4. Dinsmore Dynamos-They seem to get a lot of hate but their record speaks for itself.
5. Rocanville Tigers-Beat their arch rival Langenburg and also beat Churchbridge.
6. Canora Cobras-Can tie Rocanville in the league standings with a win vs Theodore. Also beat Rosetown in game 1 of Provincials.
7. Wadena Wildcats-The Cats lost to Wynyard for their first back to back losses in league play in a very long time but also hammered Drake 8-1. The Cats drop to 7 but realistically they won 15 games in one of the best leagues in Sask if not the best. Had they lost earlier in the year instead of now their record would have them near the top. But that's the beauty of weekly power rankings.
8. Kenaston Blizzard-They haven't played since the 20th but expect the Blizzard to be all over the news the next 2 months.
9. Lunsden Monarchs/Balcarres Broncs-Balcarres beat Raymore, Grenfell, Balgonie, and Moosomin in Prov since the last Rankings and Lumsden Raymore. Balcarres has claimed top spot in the QVHHL with their recent run but Lumsden can overtake them by a point if they beat Raymore in the leagues last regular season game.
10. Redvers Rockets-Beat Kipling this weekend. Have a 1 point lead heading in to the final 2 weekends in the Big 6. They have Oxbow this weekend and 2 games the week after to finish the regular season.
At this time of year the cream generally rises to the top. Some of these teams are hurt by stiffer competition (LLHL teams, QVHHL teams) but at the end of the day teams like Grenfell, Raymore, Watrous, Wynyard, Kyle, Moosomin, Theodore, Swan Valley, Carlyle, will have a big say in how their leagues shake down in the end. No one is unbeatable (Wilkie sure looks like they may prove that statement wrong). So many leagues have seen teams go on runs like Dalmeny, Allan, Central Butte, Meota, Neilburg, Paradise Hill, Assiniboia, Coronach, Tisdale, Willow Cree, Gull Lake, Shaunavon and some of the teams aren't even at the top of their leagues. It is going to be a fun couple of months so I implore you to go out and watch as much of these games as you can.
Also I added a poll as while there is a ton of traffic to the threads there isn't always feedback.
