Watrous wins 5-2. Hafford with a huge push in the 3rd but couldn’t come back.

Closer game than score says. Watrous tacked in one into empty net as well. Hafford 3 stars dictated a lot of the pace throughout but Watrous and their speed absolutely killed the 3 stars. Gonna be a great series, that is if the 3 stars can find some scoring.

Good game, Hafford was chasing the play for most of the game. Officiating was a solid 2/10 both ways tonight, some real bloopers that prevented/resulted in scoring chances.

Reffing was not pretty either way. Sounds like game 2 could be in north battleford if the weather stays warm.. natural ice in both Edam and Hafford |

One of the better hockey games I’ve watched this year. Tight checking. Watrous has one offensive line that dominated. The other lines on both teams couldn’t get anything going. Solid defensive game.
