Just wondering when the league is scheduling a vote on Lashburn? Three deadline pickups this year. One player lives in Edmonton and is traveling to games for free. They just signed the a pair of brothers whom are traveling from pelican right by chitek another 2 hour trip. No sticks and gas going on here right?

Nope it’s all on the up and up. Everyone in the SaskAlta just plays for the love of the game.

The new guys are driving 2 plus hours one way for free for sure. Heard they are also sweeping the rink floors after games just for the privilege of playing in the SaskAlta.

Getting the chance to play alongside a family member that currently plays on the team is what I heard.

Getting the chance to play alongside a family member that currently plays on the team is what I heard. This might possibly be the dumbest post ever. Everybody knows the names of the three players signed. They don't play anywhere for free. Included in the upcoming tournaments held every spring.

Well then I would expect they will be playing in tournaments come league playoff time

Well then I would expect they will be playing in tournaments come league playoff time Good thing that Lashburn will compensate them well as long as they last in playoffs. Gonna have to stuff the envelope a little fuller come tourney time if you make it that far.

You bitter Walburg folk need to spend less time throwing shit at other teams on a forum and more time “fundraising” to pay for your provincial roster. What will that cost per game? Hearing $750-$1000 for a few players. But definitely not the ones being paid in the saskalta right? Also looking at the roster how many players are already on other team’s rosters. Maybe get some verbal confirmation at least before putting them on your roster sheet.

It's Sr A provincials, that is what it's about, guess the $2000 a game Lashvegas is paying, and that's just to try and win a league game dont count. hamsters.

Can say with certainty that waskewitch is getting paid. If he is also getting paid, then I can’t imagine what Bill and especially Mohr are getting for financial compensation. Especially since they have players who live in Edmonton. I wonder how many current flyers live within 25km of Lashburn and played within Lashburn minor hockey. Tough look going to your own rink asking people who everyone is. To vote Walburg out and allow this is a terrible look. But hey, according to every Lashburn resident people just wanna be a Flyer.

Paying players to play Senior Hockey is bush league. It’s got out of hand province wide. Waskewitch hasn’t played since Dec.9th according to the SaskAlta website? Lashburn from what I have seen has done it the right way, built a solid team around a very good, local core group of players. The crowds that I’ve seen at the rink are some of the best in the province, the rink itself is top notch and they have a swanky new dressing room that was built last season. If I was still playing senior hockey I would give my left nut to play there! Top end teams with players that have played high level hockey attract other top end players. Some teams just don’t understand that concept and feel like they need to pay players to play, that’s why Walburg is sitting at home. The league is way better off without them.

Probably be the last year of Sask Alta. Teams like lash and walburg are going to spilt the league up and everyone’s going to go there separate ways, all in the name of greed
