100 thumbs up for this...I've shared much the same experiences as a player, coach and fan of senior hockey. Great post that everyone should spend a minute or 2 to read. A is not completely superior, but my counterpoint to this would be that the local bases of players are almost completely gone or very rare. Pick a team that won a bunch of titles in C and D in the 90s and there’s an 80% chance that town has no minor hockey anymore. The brackets look like they do and there’s no B because of precisely this. Not saying it’s a good thing, but anyone who’s competitive in senior will now end up in A. A is a complete free for all with imports and B, C, and D are now prohibitive to enter because so few teams can compete in their own leagues without imports and “locals”. I think hockey sask really messed up with the only adding 3 players to your roster in b,c,d. teams in the past that could combine and stay under the population rules now don't have that option, so now some don't enter at all. or you get pushed to A.

IMO this 3-player addition limit killed the B division.

Teams can still combine per Hockey Sask site with population and 120km radius...or am I missing something with this 4.02.07 A Senior player may only be registered with one (1) Senior team at a time:

Kenaston is a dynasty-level sr town atm. Based on the size of their town, what they have done in the least three years is very impressive. I have no doubt they win again this year. If they win another prov and league title, nobody can dispute that they are the best Sr hockey team in the whole province.

How many imports….you can get even to line 2 and they have already spent their import spots. How Many imports can these heads get 7-8-9-14?

Do you think Kenaston could get away with cheating with the profile they’ve had the last three years? Their provincial A roster is obviously different than their league one. As every Prov A team’s roster is import heavy. You can hate them all you want but you’re just showing your lack of knowledge on how senior hockey works.
