Looks like all the eyes are going to be on senior A and senior senior C this yr. There will b some very good teams in both divisions every team will b loaded up With imports and paying big bucks I’m hearing rumors about some teams paying over a grand per game for players. Plus mileage. I heard of one team That’s paying a player 1400 a game but I don’t believe that for a minute.

Majority of Sask Valley teams should be in “C”. Kenaston and Loreburn in “A”. Swift Current Elks should fall in “C” as well after adding Gull Lake’s population.

How do they determine if a team is in C or D?

How do they determine if a team is in C or D? They determine it by population. Lowest populations end up in D. Highest populations end up in C

Heard Grenfell and Wilkie might be dropped into C with B not having enough entries. I'm sure that's going to make a lot of people happy. Could sask Hockey not have transparency and send out an email explaining the situation and find a few teams in A willing to drop into B or C/D to move up to B? For next year they should just go 5 imports or 4 and 1 non-import, then scrap the 3 pick ups rule for B.

For next year they should just go 5 imports or 4 and 1 non-import, then scrap the 3 pick ups rule for B. Wilkie, Grenfell and Kindersley were the only entries in prov B, Kindersley had to move up to Prov A because of population, Wilkie I heard is going C, not confirmed yet obviously, and not sure about Grenfell either but same thing heard they dropped to C. Both Grenfell and Wilkie now have to be pretty strong favorites for C. More entries into provincials in general this year which is nice to see but HockeySask definitely has to do something about how the Prov are structured in my opinion. My thoughts are leave A the same, basically a wild west shootout of do what you must to break the bank and win. B can remain relatively the same maybe just put the population back down to 3500 plus 5 imports and C can be 3 imports and 1500 or 2000 total population. Just my thoughts but have D as no imports and I think they would get more entries from the leagues that generally dont enter, such as the Notekeau and the new Crossroads, the Twin Rivers doesnt have to many teams enter either. Again just my opinion but I think that this would make the brackets closer and more competitive as well, right now C and D are basically the same and the reason you see B all but disappear is because other than population rules its the same as well. Its more import control not population that is driving this.

Is there a reason why 4 brackets are necessary? A perfect bracket would be 16 teams; so having A, B, + C alone is enough for 48 total provincial teams.
When is the last time HockeySask had more than 48 provincial entries?

Foam Lake , Davidson , Dinsmore will be the teams to beat in C. Foam Lake, Davidson, and Kyle yes. Dinsmore isn’t even a top 3 team in their league yet alone in provs.
