Maybe if Wadena wasn’t a bunch of hosers running up the score against a team with 9 guys more guys would show up to play against them No kidding. They’ve had trouble icing a full lineup against other teams so they definitely won’t have a full lineup against the waygons I don’t feel sorry for Naicam. They were shelling out money in a league when it was not allowed. They were running up the score against the leagues worst. Now they are forced to play with what’s left of there locals and they’re getting there ass pounded. Pay back I’d say. Wadena went through there terrible days, now there clearly shelling out money and winning with imports, but they will be back to the old weak team in a few years. You wait and see.

You wait and see. it's the way senior is now. Some teams shell out big bucks to get a banner. Then they run out of money, lose the big name players and have no locals left. Half the guys on that vikings team 3-4 years ago are on Wadena now. Players chasing big paychecks and teams willing to shell it out are ruining senior in my opinion.

Yeah, “for the love of the game” isn’t in a lot of players vocabulary. That being said I’m ok with compensating for legit sticks and gas. I know some teams compensate this way for 4th liners as well as 1st.

I don’t completely disagree, but the scheschuk brothers and Statchuk grew up in wadena, which could mean they will be sticking around for some time. They also have Leach living there and the kelvington crew just down the road unless they get a team going again. Could be a good little core for the next 5 years. Naicam bought a whole team, Wadena got their guys to come home to play and added from there.

I believe most years Quill Lake guys would normally play in Wadena anyway.

It’s possible that a lot of these players stick around for a while, and it’s possible that Wadena isn’t paying as much as everyone seems to think. But it’s not possible that they are not paying imports to play. Perhaps the league needs to change there rules to allow paying some guys, because it’s clearly being ignored, and it has been for years. Especially in the competitive North. Smaller centres will never be able to compete with big towns when it comes to raising money for buying banners. It’s my opinion that this whole province has lost its concept of small town hockey teams. There’s not as much to be proud about when you get banners that way. I should just get used to it because it’s clearly gone that way already. But I’m just going to kick and scream about a while longer.

Leach is still taking a decent cheque, not as much as he was in foam lake. I think this is a one and done. Come home, hang a banner and then gone.

History repeats itself.

Blah....Blah....Blah.....Either you win a banner or your last and whining. Lots of teams have won in the last 10 years in this league because they gave it all they had, whatever the sacrifice and the rest of us were left to **** about it. Teams that find a way to win deserve credit because its not easy! It takes talent, heart, sacrifice by players, coaches and volunteers and oh yes it takes money because we all gotta eat to survive. I could give a !#$% less if anyone gets paid to play. Suck it up and lets get back to the game.....

May be a non issue if it doesn’t and each individual may be different anyway. They do have lots of Quill Lake guys, and I believe some of them have been there since the bad days so I can’t see them going anywhere. Definitely no studs besides Allen, but some decent young guys who you’d think will play there for years. I can’t see Wadena not being a good team for the next 5 years or so. They might not ever be this good again, but if I had to guess I think that core is staying around for awhile. A guy can hope they don’t have this wagon of a team again next year if they stick around the wheatland.

Are you really saying that the Waygons are showing heart and sacrifice, bla, bla, bla. There cheating. Plain and simple. It’s not cheating in most leagues, but your in the wrong damn league. Why do so many teams ask to join a league that does not allow the paying of players and then so quickly start paying players. Blows my mind. Absolutely you should join the LLHL. At least Foam Lake had the decency to get out when they knew they were going to have to pay players to get a good team together.

And Kinistino has been paying for what? 6-7 years? That being said why would a league have a rule they obviously blatantly disregard enforcing? Either get rid of the rule or enforce it.

The league constitution is posted on the website and I couldn’t actually find anything in there about paying players.
