There have been some surprising teams this season, both from a good standpoint and also from a bad one. Lots of excuses form teams about missing players yet some of the top teams have missed stud players without skipping a beat. Its a team game after all.
1. Wadena Wildcats-Still rolling. went into Foam Lake and came away with a 4-1 win and then beat the pesky Lanigan Pirates in a nail biter on Saturday.
2. Dinsmore Dynamo's-The only undefeated team in the SVHL is getting contributions up and down the roster. A very deep team not reliant on any one player sure helps in crunch time. Beat Craik and Loreburn this past weekend. Play Kenaston on Friday in a game of the week contender.
3. Wilkie Outlaws-The SWHL leaders dispatched Kindersley 6-3 in their only game this past weekend and don't play this upcoming weekend.
4. Grenfell Spitfires-Grenfell keeps winning and does it against stalwart teams. Beat Balcarres and Lumsden this week to move up to 4 based on strength of schedule.
5. Moosomin Rangers-After 7pt nights for Trotter and Holloway vs Kipling Moosomin moves up. Not to look to far in the schedule but the Dec 22 game vs Redvers looks to be a big upcoming test.
6. Davidson Cyclones-Beat Loreburn and Lucy Lake this weekend. They scored 13 goals this weekend and Ian Parker had 7 himself!
7. Kenaston Blizzard-Put up 13 against Rosetown. 7 guys had 3 points or more.
8. Wainwright Rustlers-The only 9 win team. beat the 2nd place Paradise Hill Hawks 3-2 in their only game.
9. Milestone Flyers/Rocanville Tigers-Both still undefeated but neither played this past weekend.
10. Radville Nationals/Dalmeny Sabres-Div 3 entry-Both are undefeated so far this season.
