Makes me wonder. If a team is paying players, forget about policing it. The no-pay league unfortunately just becomes a finger-pointing league. Teams need to help a kid get home from post-secondary school to play some hockey, I have no problem with that. Team buys a kid a bucket that matches the team, I have no problem with that. Or gloves or sticks or gas, or even some tip money for their time. If it isn’t viable it ends on its own accord and everyone can mind their own business.. But the world doesn’t work that way. Somehow, someone will find some other rumoured foul (Tampering, classic example, or unsportsmanlike phone etiquette) to assure the strong teams can’t compete. It’s not the court of law, court requires proof. It’s a league of popular opinion, where the majority rules by degree of this dislike. Sad but true . This wasn't tossing a kid a few bucks to get home from school. They were paying guys with no connection to the community or the team real money to drive out from Edmonton or who else knows where. It's a no pay league. They got caught. They aren't even denying it. FAFO.

Other than two disgruntled guys getting four other guys to corroborate a story they could feed to a gullible president, (and other team managers) one at a time? What was the other proof? Worse than policing trouble, this league’s bigger problem seems to be gossip-made drama. By the way yes they did deny it in the so-called zoom meeting. Even got a player to testify. Teams Just preferred the suspension verdict. Less Competition that way. Oh and It’s a Saskatchewan problem.. Saskatchewan is killing senior hockey… Wait a minute. How many Senior leagues/Teams is Alberta thriving with by comparison?

Ya’ll acting like cause there isn’t court qualified proof, that it didn’t happen. Problem is that they weren’t even discreet about it and everyone knows someone who know someone and people talk. Some not so true, but some of it is. And What’s the point of rules if you’re not prepared to do anything about it. No doubt there’s a few more offenders but they’re a little more obvious. Eagles are perhaps being made example of, but you gotta start somewhere. I for one applaud the league for having some balls.

Did I say gossip-made drama?
Anyways, I for one completely give up on policing a team’s finances.. none of my business.
But if it’s not money it’s something else.. Tampering,Verbal Assault, Hurt Feelings? the list goes on.
All that aside, Just be sure to drop some cash in your local barn, and more importantly your opponents’ as well.
That’s support.

Looks like saskalta should have left Walburg in the league , maybe would have gave the rustlers some competition. Wainwright is walking over this league

Wainwright is walking over this league They always start the season strong, let’s see if they can keep it together. They have mostly played home games by the looks of it. Paradise Hill and Lashburn are the top teams to beat.

Who was Wallburg apparently paying anyways ? The Dziurzynski brothers, the Yew Brothers, and Shirley is what everyone assumes. But like Walburg says, there is no “proof”
