What year do they think it is? Of course every team is going to pay guys. Especially in a competitive league like the SaskAlta. I would bet anything that every single team is paying guys in this league.

I would say I’m 99% sure these guys aren’t getting paid. They’re local guys who are done their hockey careers. Back at home, starting families and working, why wouldn’t they play for their home town senior team? Lol |

If your referring to paying sparkles and Gervais, you should stop paying Gervais, the guy is a pylon out there. He’s a couple cheeseburgers away from a heart attack. But I vote paradise hill get kicked out for paying players too. No way Morrison and Springer are driving from Lloydminster out of the goodness of their hearts. Who’s banking rolling the hawks roster? Came for the read and a laugh. Heard rumours of anonymous tips coming in regarding other teams/players and everyone is just sewering each other. Be interesting to see what happens.

Ya heard some info was brought forward from some of the teams own arena boards about $ for players sticks tape etc. apparently they were asked for more $ openly |

Makes me wonder. If a team is paying players, forget about policing it. The no-pay league unfortunately just becomes a finger-pointing league.
Teams need to help a kid get home from post-secondary school to play some hockey, I have no problem with that. Team buys a kid a bucket that matches the team, I have no problem with that. Or gloves or sticks or gas, or even some tip money for their time.
If it isn’t viable it ends on its own accord and everyone can mind their own business..
But the world doesn’t work that way. Somehow, someone will find some other rumoured foul (Tampering, classic example, or unsportsmanlike phone etiquette) to assure the strong teams can’t compete.
It’s not the court of law, court requires proof. It’s a league of popular opinion, where the majority rules by degree of this dislike.
Sad but true .
