Balgonie back in the league. Great for the league but is this gonna fold Odessa? Heard a bunch of the guys who shopped themselves to Odessa are going back to Balgonie. Hopefully doesn’t fold up Odessa seeing as they hung in there through a lot of last place seasons and didn’t fold up simply cause they didn’t think they were gonna finish 1st place like Balgonie did.

Well grit you seem to have called the shot as word is that odessa is folding up shop. Don’t blame balgonie here for taking players that they should have had anyways the issue there is balgonie folding tent for a couple years as soon as they weren’t gonna be deadly what a great move.
Now the big question will be how much money will Balcarres offer the studs from Odessa to come there therefore driving up the price of every player and making more teams fold in the next couple years it’s a story tried and true just offer everyone hundreds of dollars more than anyone else one heck of a strategy they have great job for the game.
I mean anyone can complain look what radville firing up did to some teams and Balcarres taking local like reaney from others but milestone keep going but that’s just one example

So you don’t see any problem with senior hockey teams offering players the equivalent of a mortgage payment for playing a single hockey game? Have you ever tried to run a senior hockey team? You think this is a sustainable model. Just cause you guys have deep pockets…who will you play against when every second team folds in the next 10 years. But I guess by then you’ll be moved on, long gone and the team you’re so passionate about now will be just a memory. If you don’t see a problem with that then there is no arguing with you.

Don’t be so naive. Todays game the only thing that matters is right now and me me me. Call any other teams players, offer big money etc. There is no more gentlemen’s conduct anymore in senior hockey, and everyone is complicit. I’m sure there’s still a few good guys left but if there are then they are completely outnumbered by the scum bags that are just lazy and offer money with no consequence, or call other teams players offering money. Accept it, everyone else has. At least until 5 years from now when there is no senior hockey left.

Your answer proves my earlier point. Care only about right now. Just like it’s BS that Balgonie folded when they weren’t gonna be deadly, teams like Balcarres will go the way of Bethune. Flame out and be gone in a few years with no money. But hey, cool zamboni video. Good couple years.

Don't put it just on the teams... there are tons on scenarios out there... you have players only willing to play as a package, players that make it well known then will go to the highest bidder as well. it comes from both sides
