Didn’t Lanigan list Draude as a local for 3 years before Drake picked him up? Also I stopped at A&W in Wynyard last week and Parker Thomas was working part time. He had a “Bear with me I’m new” pin on his uniform so I think his move there has been pretty recent. He messed up my order. I clearly asked for no mustard on my double mozzarella burger but he was kind enough to fix the mistake. Wish him the best this season with the Monarchs, hopefully he stays away from the onion rings and root beers this winter. I can definitely see how people would think this is funny. Heard today that someone from the league has protested multiple players. Hearing Parker Thomas, Dawson Leedahl and George King. Any truth to this? Might be some fines coming down the pipeline if true…

I heard about Thomas, not the other 2. Working from home might be interesting. Should be fairly easy to verify where Leedahl works. The hockey community isn’t very big, as such many players have each other on social media, just a suggestion but some guys might want to turn off snap maps….😜

Leedahl has already been cleared to play. Haven’t heard on the other 2. And heard there was another player from Leroy protested as well.
Talking to multiple guys around the league… there is no way Parker is living in wynyard… but guess we will see what they come up with.

Should teams face a punishment for having players being under investigation and being proved wrong? Should Wynyard lose an import spot next year if Thomas is found to be not living in Wynyard (which he will be).

And you might as well make it severe so teams quit f u c k ing around. that said you need to have the league rules very clear on how to determine if someone is a "local" a very clear list to check off. because we've certainly seen this last year that ambiguity / different interpretations cause trouble. good questions Jeff. |

Pretty ridiculous that the league is forced to vet every single roster like this. It's harder than ever to cook addresses with social media and what not and the measures teams are taking to make it look legit is crazy. Like even if you get away with it how can you consciously feel good about it in the end if you win knowing you cheated to do it?
